This is my second viewing of this video because it meant so much to me, pleasingly I can actually hear what is being said. I was surprised to see there were no comments on here as the principle being shown is a revelation to me in the application of the technique. The movement of relaxed but connected body draws the attacker in and they are then ill prepared to meet the power that drives them in another direction. It seems to belong in the 'effortless power' bracket. We will be trying this in class next time. Many thanks for the insight.

I was wondering the other day why we engage with aikido, why anyone does, why O-sensei did, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was the discoveries, the magic moments that keep coming and that tell us we are on a worthy path. I recall Sergei once saying' it's like we can hear god saying, " you're getting warmer"'. May it continue.
