Thanks for another great tutorial! I have to say that since I’ve discovered the consistency chart in one of your other videos, I have had tons more success with my Dutch pours. That’s hands-down the best piece of advice I’ve ever gotten from you. I highly recommend anyone new to Pouring trying it. It’s really helpful to watch the video to see how to use it consistently too. I have saved so much money as well! I hardly ever have any trouble with my paint being too thin now. I’ve gotten tons of density cells with the thinner paint but always had trouble with flocculation. I have laminated my density chart and have it on a clipboard. I usually don’t like to go any thinner than a 4 on the chart or I start to get flocculation. However that may be due to a certain brand of paint that I was using at the time. Thanks for the info on the Glue All and ratios. I can’t wait to try a Dutch pour using that! I have a gallon of it under the sink that I have been using for other types of pours. It costs almost half the price of Flood Floetrol that I order from Amazon. I’ve only been pouring for a few months now. I was worried about putting too much water in it with it being thicker where I was having such trouble with flocculation using the Floetrol. I wasn’t sure if that paint to water ratio would be okay where it takes so much to thin down the glue. Again, I appreciate your tutorials so much! You have helped me advance my pouring to the place where I’m getting friends and family approaching me to sell them my art. Thank you so much! Now I can afford to support my new addiction. 😊 Sending happy pouring vibes your way from Halifax, Nova Scotia! 💕🇨🇦💕

Really Really like this Tammy!!! It's so elegant!! I started with using Glue All for the first 4 months!!! It still gets the job done like u said with just less cells but you definitely still get cells from your paint when using Glue All. So in love w this painting!!! Can't stop looking at it!! I still struggle with Dutch Pour Painting cuz I just can't get my paints thin enough smh.......like 1 out of 5 tries I get it right.

Love your work and simple explications. When I used the Elmer Glue my painting was dull not glossy. Do have A way for the paint to shine besides varnashing it?
@420minutesofarttherapy2 жыл бұрын
I wonder if adding a touch of gloss varnish when thinning down the paint like they do for the Bloom technique would help? Something like JoSonja gloss varnish? I believe they use distilled water in a 1:10 varnish : water ratio. Then use that to thin your paints down. I know my blooms were coming out fairly glossy, or at least it seemed that way to me.

Love it ! This video gave me flashbacks of what “weird” things happen when mixing glue/water n different brands of paint. Do not mix 1:2 with Behr dynasty unless you want a warm melted marshmallow effect 🥴 I found a video of myself mixing it but can’t post cause I f bomb in it😬🥴

Take away all that talking about the "specifics", the careful measurements, the charts, the dissertation on the complexities and subtleties of finding the right balance of consistencies and it's just someone dribbling paint and a convoluted description of precisely... not much at all.
