In our subdivision’s talipapa mkt, we buy this only 10 pesos isang tali which is about 10 stalks of kangkong. Btw, this is chinese upland kankong that you are showing. The real water spinach is the one with bigger leaves and usually considered as a waterplant.

Did you have koi fish in the same pond? If yes, did they eat the roots? Every time I plant something to grow in my koi pond, the roots get eaten by my koi fish and dies. My water lilies are barely surviving from them eating the roots. They get fed plenty too so not sure why they do that. I want to try to grow water spinach in my koi pond
