Wwo, that's a cool solution, dude, thanks, i've drowned mine a month ago, and somebody found it, i regret i didn't stick any contact/id on it so that one who found it could call me. As for styrofoam, that's a great way to keep my drone safe, as i am filming mostly over the water, one can atttach the pieces of long styrofoam to the long landing lengs.

Cool video bro. The landing material looks great. I use the SYMA X8 landing gear as a test to carry my action cam. But weight is much more than this one. Thanks for sharing. Robby.

I dig it man, nice. I've had some pool noodles stashed for months meaning to get round to trying something similar. Even bought some ping pong balls for a go with the brushed micro :) I think your balls will have much less drag when taking off the water than pool noodles, not even sure the 1s micros will be able to lift off.

MicroRCFiend it will probably drag it down because of the reduced lift power, ping-pong balls whould do the trick... Their height is near to nothing and they will have a big surface area on the water, without keeping it anchored... Give it a try, can't wait to see the result... You know that plastic tube that they use to pass eletric wires on the walls, it's that.... It's originaly kinda white/yellow but I used spray paint to make it the same colour as the drone.... Thanks for watching bro, big hug

anyshitt you're not the only one who was expecting a real pool but the kid is only 5 years old, eh eh... this is very easy to make and it's a helpful way of avoiding watching your quad go under the water without being able to do something, this way it gets wet but it doesn't sink, thanks for watching, all the best

Just subd to your channel..... What a cool mod my friend! I tried building pontoons for my promark and they looked very cool but way to heavy, drone wouldn't lift off! Now I've been flying the 6 and 3 for sometime and allways wanted to do a flotation mod on them and this looks like the best aproach. Now i would like to make on suggestion.. Maybe adding some set screws into the gear just to make sure they don't come off in midair

I may just use the PVC tubes as extended legs for camera use. I hate that the screws for the taller landing gear seem to strip too easily. Bugs 3 is so much easier to transport without extended landing gear. I wish there were clip on legs. How did you cut the PVC tubes? Where did you buy them? What is the weight in grams? does battery life suffer?

stefano giovannini I'm doing a video on the battery duration with the floating legs, I think it takes just 1 or 2 minutes out of the flying time, if there's wind it will affect more... these type of pvc pipes are used inside the walls with the electric wireing so any electric suplieing store will have them... they are great to use has legs if you want to put a gimball on the quad... thanks for watching man, all the best..

Thanks for passig by Shea, you're probably talking about those litlle extended legs righ on the bottom of the motors... that is actually a piece of heat shrinking sleeve with a piece of hot glue tube inside, send me a e-mail to [e-mail] and I will send you a small video explaining how I did those extenders...
