I am truly fascinated by your experiments! So clever and we mortal humans would never think of something like that! Well done, please bring some more!!

Can you cap the bottle and keep the smoke contained in there? Or will it explode?
@KidsFunScience3 ай бұрын
Great question, but I have never tried. I assume you could. If you try let me know. Thanks Ken

Can we do this experiment without baking soda and only by using vinegar?
@KidsFunScience Жыл бұрын
hi Sonamtashichoden-uz3wd, Yes you can do it without the baking soda. The baking soda is just to get it to shake it will look like a liquid, if you do it with out baking soda then the smoke will just go to the bottom of the glass. Check out my other video Smoke waterfall and you can see it without the baking soda. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sIWln4Kubq6NotU Thanks Ken

Why do you need the baking soda and the vinegar? I think I have tried it without them, and it worked as well. Simple and cool experiment!
@KidsFunScience3 жыл бұрын
Good Morning Aramalis’ Adventures: All for kids, You might be able to do it with out baking soda and vinegar, but I think it gives the smoke a place to float on top with carbon dioxide gas. I will have to try it without the baking soda and vinegar and see the different. thanks Ken

May I ask how does the carbon dioxide affect the smoke and makes it float?
@KidsFunScience Жыл бұрын
Good Morning @maamjulie5298, By mixing baking soda and vinegar you make a reaction that produces carbon dioxide gas, which you know. The carbon dioxide gas settles on the bottom of the glass in an invisible layer. The smoke is lighter and sits on top of the Carbon dioxide and when you shake the glass which makes the smoke float. I hope this helps. thank Ken
