Amazing how that little strip of acetate gives the card sparkle

I loved this card so much that I immediately went to my stamp room and made three, all in different colors. When I put die and acetate and cardstock through my cut and emboss machine I put an extra shim of card stock with it and it cut way better. Just thought I would share that. Can't say it enough LOVE these cards!!

Hi Cindy- LOved this! I knew the "floating" idea - and thought you were going to show the (cut out) circle incard front, with the DSP behind it and the trees "floating" on front face of the card, in front of circle. What a great surprise- its all done much easier and one card. Im going to try this - and also emboss the face front. TY for this great card tutorial.

Julie, the great thing is, you can use three different patterns in that pack to make a lot of cards. You may even be able to use a 3" square on the top of the DSP and get two per card...Have fun- it is a beautiful DSP!

Love this card(technique), but all I could stare at are those large, beautiful diamonds on your ring 😅
@cindybrumbaugh94965 ай бұрын
Thank you! You are too cute! Long story on the ring...I had to have my original engagement ring cut off my finger a year ago after my finger was swelling up around it after a bug bite. We tried everything to get it off and eventually the ER took it off- man did it hurt and my original rings were mangled. When we got the original middle diamond reset...my sweet husband of 37 years surprised me with that setting with the other two on the side. He said to remember the Trinity when I look at it- God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit!

It stays glued to the acetate with the liquid?
@cindybrumbaugh94965 ай бұрын
Hi Beth, it has stayed glued to the acetate for me. Don't use a ton of it , and let it dry a minute or two...before running through embossing machine. If you are not using a die with a decorative edge, you can just die cut the circle first and trim off the edges. But I prefer it the other way- and do sometimes have to trim. You can easily use tape adhesive, too. Thanks for stopping by!

Just yesterday another lady showed YOUR card technique 1 on 1 and made it look like it was her idea which I despise so much. Why do people not have the courtesy of saying who came up with an idea and inspired them to CASE it?
@cindybrumbaugh94965 ай бұрын
Well, we all do get inspired by people. I try really hard to make sure to credit if I directly case someone's card. It's just plain etiquette. The floating strip technique has been around a long time- to my knowledge, I had NOT seen it with that actual die. If I had, I would have credited it to someone. I use other people's ideas but almost 100% of the time, try to use another stamp/die but say where I got the idea. I am really impressed when someone gives me credit in an instagram or other social media if they used my card. Most times, I thank them and say, "hey, you made it your own and thanks for the shout out". But I have seen my card exactly done and not credit...lol. But I know where you are coming from for sure! I even cased 99% of a card in my Busy Bee Bag this month because it was just so darling but gave credit to the original designer:) Smiles sent your way...
@2Pferde5 ай бұрын
@@cindybrumbaugh9496 Thank you for getting back to me in such a nice way! Yes, the lady used not only your idea with the acetate circle, but she also embossed the layer, just like you did (okay, she used a different embossing folder, but still…) and she also used the exact same tree die that you used. But guess what? Because I left a negative comment on that ladies post here on KZbin, she apologized and changed her disclaimer immediately giving YOU all the credit. Now my world is fine again *lol* as unfairness was being corrected. Anyways, you just keep up your awesome work, your wonderful way of teaching and your kind soul. Lots of crafty hugs from 65 year old Carmen out of Munich, Germany (that’s why my English may not be as perfect as that of a native speaker)
