When someone like Tadej works so hard with the gifts he clearly already has, and wins with such dominance, he's worth those pay packets. I'm just glad that cycling brands aren't coughing up that dosh, or bike prices would just go up. Is UAE just spending some of their oil profits into cycling? So cool!

That's my impression too. Especially with that buyout clause, which means he can never switch teams to get a higher salary. I wonder if the bonuses for wins are very large and pogi is expecting to make a lot more that way.

I swear I keep hearing commentators saying that 'people are saying' but like where are the people saying that? 😂 sure some races are so dominant that it's a bit meh, but anyone who actually watches the whole race couldn't say that- like the world champs was 100km of drama, that's so much more exciting than when riders wait until the last 3km to do anything

Does this mean he will go for a triple Vuelta/TDF/Giro? Getting paid that much with winning bonuses, does that make it almost required that he attempt the triple? The reason I read for not attempting it this year was basically to keep the team happy, and let someone else get a bit of the limelight, but not that he couldn't actually do it.

Professional cyclists are grossly underpaid compared to other athletes and sportsmen while arguably having to train the hardest. Their levels of fitness are on another level compared to most. In my opinion, the likes of Pocagar, Vingegaard and Evenepoel are grossly underpaid.

Will be a two-horse race. Pogi and Jonas. Hopefully they are both fully healthy and in top form. Nobody else has shown they can challenge them in Le Tour.

I think with the amount of wins he takes which in many cases are more than an entire team put together, he surely deserves to be paid a lot more. But possibly the winning bonuses take care of that.

I don think he will race nor in Giro neither in Vuelta..cause if he wanna try to win in Milano Sanremo, Flanders and Liege then he will need some rest before Tour..so no Giro..and Vuelta is too close to Tour and World Championship
