there is a similar tone to In Your Eyes, the way the chorus seems like a bell is being rung then immediately dampened, but somehow Joni Mitchell shows up in the vocal and unusual timing. and yet, it is still fresh and its own thing, dontcha think?

Players coming together to create more than a sum of parts allows for an organic transition of style based on the influence of changing membership (hopefully). A one person effort may be sufficient temporarily. Even the greatest solo acts will benefit from the interaction of musical influences beyond themselves. Periods of performance within changing contexts may be cited as impetus for long lasting careers. Invitation to others to come along side will result in envigoring any artistic endeavor.
