For those saying PJ was robbed. Try to understand the fight as a situation of dominance where the one who takes the initiative and attacks has the advantage. The ADCC rules benefit those who take the initiative, so that a good guard player doesn't win the fight just by defending the whole time. Clearly, Mica dictated the pace of the fight and was more aggressive. He kept trying to apply takedowns the whole time while standing, while PJ had to defend himself. He also attacked more often, and unless I'm mistaken, I didn't see any attack attempts from PJ. I'm not an expert and have only trained BJJ for a few years, but I believe this is an honest and sincere view of the fight.

Yes. He had a takedown in the no points period, and two near passes in the points period, one of which would have scored if he had three more seconds. Mica only had the back take right at the end, granted it was as close to scoring as PJ's pass. Barch was by no means dominant on top in neutral, but he was when he got his openings. PJ got robbed porra. Blatant favoritism. I'm going to guess Mica got a nice gift to stick with the ADCC instead of jumping to CJI and they didn't want to waste their investment.
