I guess this is one of the most underrated Dreamcast games out there. And this is a shame since it is a truly unique and fun game. Basically you have to influence your brother's moods to solve puzzles and advance in the game.
I really like the cartoon style animations and the humour in the dialogues and cut scenes. The game is not without issues though: The controls are really sensitive and the camera can be a bit annoying. Still, if you have a Dreamcast do yourself a favour and check out this insiders' tip!
Enjoy and leave a comment. Any requests for particular games, just post them and I will try to help :-).
All of my gameplay videos are recorded using the original game on the original hardware. You will find NO emulation here :-). So if a 2D game looks "pixelated" this is only the case since there is no strange filter for any kind of emulation used.

had to take a walk down memory lane here when I saw these videos posted. I worked on that game. Animation, models, textures, cinematics. It was a great 4 years of my life. Relocated from NY to CA to work on it. yeah, that's right...4 years to make. mostly because resources kept being pulled off the project to work on the companies bread and butter games like basketball and football. Also a couple lead artist changes, the background artist left so his work was scrubbed and replaced by the new guy and a lot of development on the fly as the game went from more of a platform jumping to what it eventually became. It was suppose to be released with the release of Dreamcast. but being 2 years tardy and XBox and the new playstation being released at the same time pretty much killed the game. Not many wanted to buy a game for the "old" Dreamcast when those two new gaming systems were out

lightningsketcher Damn. As a kid, I had a dreamcast and right now I'm putting together a dreamcast library. I'm adding this one because it actually look cute. Thanks for the story.

lightningsketcher 4 years... that makes a lot of sense now. You see the floigans in the early dreamcast commercials, yet it was a late released game.

+lightningsketcher I actually like what the game became. Platforming/jumping is quite standard, and the game probably wouldn't have been very popular if it had followed that "cookie cutter" path. The game had quite a unique concept, but it clearly wasn't a very "refined" game, and as one of my favorite childhood games, I wish it could have been polished more before release. I wish someone would start up a Kickstarter for Episode 2; I'd definitely chip into that. Do you have any more information you'd like to share about the development history of Floigan Brothers?

seeing that 16 years have passed I guess a **spoiler alert** is unnecessary. But, due to several production issues the game was rushed out the door ( 4 years to make hardly a "rush" but, as I mentioned before, so many set backs and it was time to just get it out there) and a lot of game play never fleshed out. Most notably that I can recall , it is just a total waste to spend your points on Moigles shoes. The entire swamp area was added quickly just to make it feel like you accomplished something - like another level. It had so much potential!!! there was talk of marketing happy meal figures and in stores. They were to be as common as Sonic character or Mario Brothers

If you really are a person who worked on the Floigan Bros, all I want to say is thank you. Floigan Bros was a huge part of my childhood, I played the Dreamcast constantly with my dad growing up and Floigan Bros was one of the few games we played almost every time we booted up the system. I was extremely bummed out when my dad told me that a sequel was never made, and probably never will be due to the poor sales and death of the Dreamcast. Honestly, thank you for being part of the creation of one of my fondest childhood memories.

I played this on snow days as a kid. Even when the game was forever old I'd still get it out and play it every winter IDK why.

Did anyone else enjoy playing this game, just to troll Moigle? Best part was when I got him to go into the river and run away so he wouldn't sit on Hoigle, lol.

In someways, this could be called a chance at a new gaming innovation. I love the animation of the game and it could have been like a saturday morning cartoon where you change how it turns out. aka. shenmue and heavy rain simularities would have made it good. but instead, I have bad memories of being stuck on a tutorial part trying to jump onto the back of the train was such a pain. 'save me bruva' 'i need you on this terainnne' over and over again.

My goshhhhhhhhh, I remember that. X'DD I was able to defeat the game several times, but I also remember being stuck on that part when I first played it, lol.

@michiyoyoshiku I expected something like that B) Those graphics! Unbelievable that they come from an eleven years old console. I can't wait to play it and to say: the controls are as good as the graphics :P

I found this still sealed for 14 bucks online. I think I'll get it. That's cheap as hell for a DC game in general in my country.

@michiyoyoshiku I can't believe that today people just doom the DC because of it's history...stupid nerds! Best console I've ever played (and I played nearly everything). I'm looking forward to "Sturmwind". Please have a quick look on the trailer. It looks sooo amazing. You'll love it ;)
