Hi thanks for the video. I've recently had a problem with the liquid coming out of the airstone multiple times is could this be a problem with the diaphragms or something else. Any thoughts/suggestions much appreciated

good video can you tell me how to order the valve kit...?
@geraldknady80953 жыл бұрын
Order it from kleenrite.I gave the kit # above it comes with a new shaft ,the offending Orings and the square slide box that regulates the exhaust ..I tried to goat the makers of this video (kleenrite ) to make the video .Maybe I should so one myself .If the pump not that old I get a 90% success ratio. If it still stalls or leaks I take the new kit parts out and trash it. It's very important that you buy THE MATCHING KIT THE SHAFT IS DIFFERENT ON THEM DEPENDING IF ITS VITON,SANTOPRENE ETC. ) must match .. But yes they will come apart and are repairable as long as you don't harm it while taking it apart .kleenrite's # is 800-233-3873 toll free

The shaft and slide valve for the SANTOPRENE is FPK2071, FOR THE VITON,FPK2071V the valve kit he replaces in the video Is NEVER the problem .I have used these with harmful acidic and alkaline chemicals and the failure is always the small clear Orings located on the main stainless steel slide shaft.once one cracks the shaft travels to far and doesn't bounce and rebound back in the opposite direction .

Go to the kleenrite catalog #61 top of page 235 shows what direction they all go but replacing those is highly unlikely to solve your problem ...People I have repaired 50 of these ..other owners bring me theirs it's the shaft and slide valve assembly that goes bad . Not the shaft of course it's stainless steel but the 2 clear rubber Orings the get struck each time the shaft changes direction..of course they do not sell just the Orings...no money in that but if it's leaking air or stalls and you can bump it and it runs a short while 100% one of these rings has cracked and/or broken.

why dont you show how to replace or repair the slide shaft and its o-rings thats the cause of 90% of stalls..a broken o-ring..you sell the repair kit ,,and yes it can be opened ive repaired several kit FPK20751V for the viton model

I have several pump like those, but one is leaking air from the air breather at the bottom. Air is always coming out and the pump is still working well for now. Any idea if this is fixable ? I remove the diaphragm but dont know if we can remove or not the cover under them to get to the middle of the pump.

@@geraldknady8095 unfortunatly i dont have this catalog, it seem we need to buy it online on there website. I saw another video in spanish where the guy just use plier to pullout the cover (the one under the diaphragm) it seem really easy but mine is not moving at all... can we remove only one side ? Maybe i was trying on the wrong side. Thank for your previous answer.

@@yannicktremblay9687 often when you first remove the screws and start to pry it apart the housing piece that you need removed will start to come apart . Rather than pushing it back in place I will place a small flat blade or anything like a piece of card board between it to keep it from resealing .if it doesn't come with the top lid the you need to remove top and bottom cover in other words all the stainless steel screws out of the top and the bottom okay then with a flat plate screwdriver if the appropriate spot you stick it in there and you you pry the bottom and the top away until you have both sides of the diaphragm showing then you you should be able to press at the center of the diaphragm at the bottom or at the top and make the stainless steel center rod go up and down okay grab both the diaphragm pieces firmly in your hand and then doing unscrewing motion just like you were unscrewing the lid of a jar of peanut butter One or the other will come loose okay those just screw on standard way then what you can do is stick a screwdriver you'll notice that the the diaphragm you removed they're on the shaft there is a slot in the top of it So you can stick a flat blade screwdriver in that slot and that will give you enough holding power to remove the other diaphragm from the other side cuz you don't want to grab hold of your shaft and scratch it or scar it in any way okay once you have both sides of that thing off you can usually get it to push far enough up that the shaft will all come out except for the threaded part The the thicker part will then catch behind the back side of the plate You're wanting to remove and so you kind of angle it and then you push on your stainless steel shaft with it kind of cocked in the hole and that will give you enough pork to then press out the other side I wish I could send you some photos or a video It's a little tricky but it's doable The other thing you could do is once you get that shaft kind of down out of the way enough you could potentially stick like a flat blade screwdriver with the end of it bent at 45° and kind of hook the piece but the method that I described works best . You don't want to scratch or scar the center round opening It kind of has like a plastic with a heavy fall type stuff over it and it's critical that that not get scarred or scratched in any way once you have one of the sides out of there then you can get in to remove the shaft remove the slide bar that goes over the exhaust hole and all that comes in that package You know I said to the guy on the video why would you sell this repair kit if it's not possible to repair anything on the inside It absolutely is possible I've done it many times.

@@yannicktremblay9687 I don't know about using pliers that's not a tool I would ever use .your hands and a flat blade with some rubber pieces ..you don't want to scratch or scar anything..torn pieces of a used rubber glove to cushion and really it's 90 just using my hands and leverage .if you could plug all the inlets and outlets a quick burst of air would do it but I never had one I couldn't open.
