that old ford truck would probably be the easiest to fix on the lot. it was already restored. theres NO electronics to go bad. It was a freshwater flood. flush the motor and trans and clean it out. the body and paintwork that was done is worth the 3k alone. definately worth it. someone will get a good deal.
@ben6119Ай бұрын
You could have that thing going in 1-2 days. Super simple.
@rodneyarmstrong3813Ай бұрын
Just remember every vehicles electrical under the dash can't ever get wet because they are not treated at all for wetness. You will always have electrical problems 1 right after the other. Hoping for the diamond in the rough could cost you way more than the trouble. Have you ever tried to replace everything under a dash you will never be happy.

Check the Tacoma frame for rust. I've seen a lot with completely shot frames on 2012-2020 . Insurance total loss.

If you buy only with a clean title you can find some pretty good deals but why are they in that "salvage yard" if they are not salvage?
@michaellalanae7228Ай бұрын
Campers are impossible to recycle. Plastic, foam, there's more work than gain, that's why they are better off selling them cheap to avoid the headache of recycling them .

The old Ford pickup would have been easy to fix Micheal. All the parts are available and some one has restored it previously. I am not surprised that it went for what it did. Micheal you are still peeved about the Jeep, move on life is too short. 😁 No I don't understand how they assess things over there either. Here in the UK you can tell the insurance has not even looked at some vehicles before putting them in a category (I know it is difficult to compare the UK with the USA, different rules and so on). Take care Micheal it just was not your day this time! 👍👍

Michael you have to think outside the boxes when it comes to classic no computer vehicles like that truck! Once you remove all the parts and baking soda blast the body and frame,that truck with updated engine transmission etc . Can be back on the road and save from scraping it

With the sheer numbers of restorable vehicles "on the market" surely the resale of all vehicles would also be crashing down? You get it cheap but there are another bucket load of others doing the same in the flipping game

Flooded campers are usually scrap because many can barely handle rain let alone standing water. Bet only 2 out of 10 flooded cars are even worth the effort. For parts maybe - to drive a hard no.
