U can save the space for visited array by making value of maze array as -1 when visited and back to 0 after all recursion calls and check for the same in first if condition i.e. inplace of visited[row][col] == true, u can check for maze[row][col] == -1

This is BAckTracking and graph(dfs) and recursion. This can be used as the base question for searching in n-D matrix. You just have to make sure you identify your options carefully.
