Always a great time busting the trails with a good group . I’ve been heavily considering getting out of the HP game and getting a new 22 grey/white SE Grizzly 700 . Had three brutes which were all fantastic, and now a Sportsman XP Premium 1000. I wish the Grizzs had a lot more power without any clutching mods or bolt ons , but it’s really not a big deal , they have enough . I’m getting older and want the quality and the Ultramatic has always been the best CVT on the market bar none. Most of the time my four wheeler sits anyway cause riding the X3 Turbo is crazy fun lol . I’m down in the southern lower 48 . Y’all keep that snow and ice up there lol.

I just got a grizzly and am amazed at how much better the ultramatic is than the CVTs on the multiple polaris that I had. Would be hard to go back. For trail riding I feel like the grizzly has plenty. Just enough to get me into trouble.

@@factionfx it’s not even close man . One way sprag constant tension on the belt . When we were younger my buddy had an 02 660 grizzly. That thing was beaten mercilessly for several years and the clutch finally seized right before 9000 miles . Basically zero maintenance ever and farm abuse . My brutes were great machines as well , but CVT is hands down ultramatic all the way . I’ll miss the arm stretching 51-90 hp from my brutes to this XP 1000, but I’ll enjoy speed in the can am x3 turbo . Just need a good reliable trail four wheeler . I want the grey and white se.

How hard was it to install the andrew deal clutching? also did you put a different spring in the secondary? or just primary work

It’s a decent size job, you should have some experience to do it. You have to split the case on the side of the motor in order to install the slugs. I don’t recommend the slugs if you run a 27” or smaller tire, and if you put a 28 on a grizzly it’s really going to kill the sportiness of it. I was running a green secondary but since I took the slugs out - I went back to a purple epi secondary with no slugs and it’s much much better. So this is both primary and secondary

Andrew deal machined sheave, purple spring, 19g 31mm weights, 3 slippery washers, .2mm shim

Try quickly bumping 1/3ish throttle to preload the suspension, then give it a through stab, that bike should stand straight up and down. Doing it this way also seems to bypass slipping the internal wet clutch, which seems to happen if you just pin it wot.

I don't think most viewers appreciate how well these videos are edited from all the different cameras. Well done! What software are you using....does it have some way to align video (based on time) from the different files so that you can easily splice them in?

Thanks! We appreciate it! The editing is all done and aligned manually with respect to timing, all clipped individual videos to each point in time. I think the one we started using now is Vegas Movie Studio 13, previously we used iPhones iMovie.

Grizzly takes the canam in trails easy. Straight away or pave road the canam wins every time. But the black and green grizzly is done up enough to hit 120km/hr which is more than enough to keep up with any other bike. Not a race until it’s a race haha.
