I didn't pick up on it during my first playthrough, but is Floofty non-binary? I *just* noticed that Snorpy only uses "them" for Floofty and I can't remember if other Grumpuses do. That's pretty cool if so.

Technically, everyone on the island [ besides the journalist ] is a cannibal, although Gramble is only one if you feed him while he's sleeping. Bugsnax are hundreds of years old, and reproduce through the process of Snakification. So by the time everyone else gets to the island, most - if not all - of the bugsnax there are basically made of Grumpus. Fair enough, Floofty did supposedly eat an actual Grumpus - although that may just be a joke - but that's not my point. And no, that wasn't their leg, because as they said, their severed leg is in their hut. The island is also part grumpus, technically. Just something I thought was worth saying.

Most of the interviews does give you foreshadowing of the truth of Bugsnax. Wiggle mentioned the “Queen of Bugsnax,” Triffany never found her Gramma, Snorpy predicting the Grumpinati and Undersnax, Shelda accidentally predicted Bugsnax are toxic, and Floofty calling you an emotional parasite.
