After BZ show finished this series, Floor did a solo concert tour with and the band and backup singers were with her full time. The band is very good. Excellent at what they do. And the backup singers blended with every singer. As you dive more into Beste Zangers, you will be more impressed.

Worth you watching Floor singing Shallow , or Vilja Lied or Winner or Mama or even Que Se Siente. Shallow is the one that really took off in the Netherlands but Vilja Lied is the first song that the other singers heard her sing having not been aware of her at all.

I don't think that's entirely accurate....... I think Henk and Tim we're the only two on the show that had heard her before but not to any great extent the best thing about this show or that series with those singers is that a lot of the Netherlands didn't know who floor was because the Netherlands is very deep-rooted in pop music and we all know that floor is pretty much anything but pop, but as a result of this show and then her subsequent tour where she was solo I think everyone from the Netherlands knows who she is now

By the time they all had the conversation on Show 1 I'm sure that they had all heard her music to be able to practice for her show 3 weeks later. On that first show Floor said she took part after being told that Henk was on the show and if I had been one of the guests I would research everyone else first. But it made good television. LOL.

What a performance is this, isn't it? They almost didn't do it. Shortly before this duet there was a rainstorm over the tent they were in and it started to leak everywhere. And as you know water and electricity is not a good combination the organisation wanted to stop. But as it was the very last song of the whole series Floor and Henk decided to go on. And we all are glad they did!! The thunderclap in the beginning is a real one and if you look closely you see the raindrops falling behind them and in the water and the table is wet. But everytime...goosebumps!

A great reaction from you 👍. It was a super ending of the best season of Beste Zangers ever. When Floor joined, she were considered to be a "metal chick", Leather, screaming, tuff etc etc, - and she played along. Only Tim knew of her from back in the days where they were performing on the same festivals. Before the started the first singing round (Henk was in the couch) - Henk had been going around friendly teasing the others of how he was looking forward to hear them sing opera (his style)... Floor was first, dressed in leather to be the metal chick - and then she started singing Vilja Lied. Henk got silenced - and the others dropped their jaws to the floor, and then they realized that the barr just passed the roof - they had to perform their best ever - and they all did!! Therefore it is the best season ever. After the season, Floor won a prize for building bridges between the genres - and she did 10!! extra shows, together with Henk. (all sold out in less than 24 hours) The last show had just been finished (the Covid-19 delayed everything) a couple of weeks ago - and Floor crowd funded it, so it will be available on the net for free!!! - she is not earning a dime on it!! Your comment on the band. I definitely agree. I'm a beste zangers fan since at least 2015, but it could be 2014 too. I follow it every year. And I'm a huge fan of the Marcel Fisser band, which is the name of the houseband, too. I went to Floor's concert 2 weeks ago, and afterwards I had the honour of getting to talk with Marcel, the guitarist and leader of the band. Such a humble, relaxed man, who likes joking around, but also underestimates very much how the work of his band is appreciated. He was surprised when I told him that I became a fan of his band too and that I have a ton of respect for them. Great person, fabulous band. The drummer is really kind too. Finally, some recommendations from Beste Zangers, will put the year in brackets: - Floor Jansen, Winner (2019) - Emma Heesters, Strong (2019) - Tania Kross & Tommie Christiaan, Barcelona (2017) - Maria Fiselier, Lose Yourself (2018) - Henk Poort & Emma Heesters, Vivo Per Lei (2019) - Tim Akkerman, Nemo (2019) - Samantha Steenwijk - Just the way I do (2019) Can mention way more but these are some really good ones in my opinion

This is my favourite song from this show as well, at least my favourite duet. Two other amazing duets are Henk with Emma singing Vivo per lei, and Tania Cross with Tommie Christiaans singing “Barcelona”. That last one will blow you away!

Oh I see that you've reacted to O'G3NE too. They participated in Beste Zangers too! In 2016. Their performance of Clown was incredible. But all their performances are worth checking out. Fun fact, they participated both in the Eurovision Song Contest, as well as the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, so for children. I've been following them since their auditions for the Dutch preselection for the Junior Eurovision, which was back in 2007😂 long time fan you could say I guess

If I may... a suggestion.. You know Floor is the singer in Nightwish? Well Nightwish actually did a cover of Phantom of the Opera, but with the first singer Tarja and Markko. That will really blow you away. In my mind...Markkos interpretation of the Phantom is how it should be done.

I like that you react to Floor Janssen. I like Nightwish since Tarja. My oldest son introduced them to me. Because of my son I also new After Forever and ReVamp. In 2019 I've been to Nightwish concert together with both of my sons.(I'm their mom). So 2020 a couple of concerts didn't happen due to COVID19. So if everything goes alright I hope that at the end of the year the Nightwish concert is going to happen. Also in 1922 Epica and Amaranthe. Sadly enough the BTS concert had been cancelled.

If you like The Marcel Fisser Band (the orchestra of this show) listen to Hotel California by Rolf Sanchez, or Despacito by Henk Poort, there they show their true quality.

A season this good, you'd almost think that it's impossible to match a performance like this one... but there was another duet that is on par with "Phantom of the Opera". And that is "Vivo per lei" by Emma Heesters and Henk Poort" (yes, uncle Henk is involved yet again hehehe). That is such a beautiful duet as well, Emma's voice is very different to Floor's voice, more pop than rock so to speak, but the match with Henk is again spot on. Frankly, every single one of the performers during that season, have given us amazing songs to enjoy. If you are looking for suggestions who else to listen to, then the short answer is "YES". Songs you might want to check out : Rolf Sanchez - Hotel California / Solo otra vez (All by myself) / On and on Henk Poort - Despacito / Your man / Vincent Tim Akkerman - Nemo / Dear mister President / My girl Emma Heesters - Strong / Sex machine / El universo Ruben Annink - They dance alone / Cant help falling in love / I'm still alive Samantha Steenwijk - Just the way i do / Het geeft niet (Mi manchi) / Ik ben altijd dicht bij jou Floor Jansen - .... Wasn't that amazing? Floor was inspired by Henk when she was a youngster (he was an ALW favourite for the part of the Phantom), that's real fangirling you could see :) The Beste Zangers show is super too, well worth watching the whole show (for the info and comments between each song) and the rest of the 2019 series! The crash of thunder at the beginning wasn’t a sound effect, they were in the middle of a storm, with water leaking through the roof, you can see it dripping to the left of Floor on the close-ups, and in the pool behind. The crew must have been a bit alarmed, but they kept going. I like to think of being on those sofas with the other singers, what a lovely idea and so intimate, being just a few feet away from the performers. Floor chose this band for her solo concerts recently. Beste Zangers Eurovision introduction, Floor did "Euphoria"...
