Let's not forget Ruben wrote this song, he Is 20 years old. That's his talent, he is able to tell a story in the songs he writes. Floor said she was more comfortable to sing in English, and her sister helpt with the translation. She's a great singer/ songwriter but she had also good material to start with. I'm in my mid 60s and I've loved music since I was 5. Over the years, I've been asked which is more important. The singer or the song. My answer: "assuming a competent singer, always the song... but there are rare exceptions." This is one of those rare exceptions. Floor has taken a simple but lovely melody and transformed it into a heart wrenching, tear inducing, unforgettable song. It's not awe inspiring like some of her more power packed performances. But the subtlety and beauty of this performance has power which cannot be denied. Simply beautiful.

So I have watched all of the Best Zangers videos, where Floor sings. And in three of them she made the people she sang for cry, the blonde lady kept getting goosebumps and the rest could hardly stop smiling (and joy cursing 😁) And in everyone of her covers, it is so obvious she truly sings it FOR them, to appreciate and honor them. Which makes her even more incredible, as an artist and as a singer ❤ going to blow my nose now...

Is there anything she can't sing? She can sing opera, metal and pop ballad. She can growl, scream and also go very high notes. She can sing in different languages and she do it so natural. Most important - whatever she sings, she do it beautiful, natural, light and with unparalleled energy. Seriously - best female vocalist in the world, she has no equal.

Floor is by far one of the best voices we have. Not only in the fantastic Nightwish songs. She can really sing every song and bring tears with her performances. I will see her live in Antwerp in December with Nightwish. Cannot wait to enjoy her magnificent voice.
