Another great performance! It's exciting that we will probably get to hear many live versions of these songs. Maybe we can finally stop listening to the album on repeat for a while. 😂 It's a shame about the audio balance though. The music was drowning out the vocals a bit. I know Floor goes hard, but I think they overcompensated a bit too much. You can even see Floor's concern, and her gesturing to bring it down a bit (not sure if she meant her own mix, or for everyone).

For some reason, DayDream became one of my favorite songs of Paragon, and the live version is sooooooooo intense.

She meant her own mix for sure. When you are on stage you have no idea what the floor sounds like. Also, the direct feed (what we hear) is probably different still from in the room. I don't think the actual volume balance was bad, but perhaps a small adjustment on the EQ would have been good.

@@MisterFribbles If it helps, veryone who starts mixing tracks for the first time l(like me!) will almost 100% certain put the vocals too loud in the mix :D . Yes, there is a lot of personal preference in any audio mix. It's an interesting exercise to go back and critically listen to your favourite albums. Check what is really loudest (rather than clearest). Its probably the drums, guitar and bass. If they ever took that performance to a "live DVD" you'd probably find that the mix engineer sorted out the issue you hear, but that the relative volumes hadn't actually changed.

Mijn man was ziek met een hersen tumor tijdens covid. Wij wisten dat hij zou sterven op korte termijn daardoor was het helemaal rot dat hij in zijn laatste jaar zich moest isoleren en juist niet met zijn vrienden en familie om mocht gaan. Zelfs ons enige kleinkind toen bijna 2 jaar oud mochten wij een tijd niet zien. Uiteindelijk hebben wij de isolatie gebroken want mijn man was toch al opgegeven.

Floor is pretty smart. As much as it pains me I get the feeling Nightwish is on it's last legs. She is already positioning herself into a strong solo artist with millions of fans of her own that will propel her career into a new direction that I have no doubt will be successful for her.

Baby's taking the space where she sustains the notes. Without proper breathing sustain, the voice is all over the place and strained. Also, pregnancy makes you more tired. She traveled and done a lot of shows in the last 2 months. But I believe it's hard to take a break when you have so much on the table and you love what you do. But she definitely needs to rest and stop doing the demanding songs.
