@@fugawiaus Well, speaking about the short term, I was a bit worried Freya was so close to the loudspeaker (Floor 😂). If you know Ayreon's 'The Eye of Ra' from the Universe concert, even Arjen has to cover his ear that is next to Floor... Speaking of the long term, the way I got to know Floor and Hannes I believe Freya will be allowed to find her own favorite type of music. But of course, given her parents jobs, she will be exposed to quite some rock and metal. Only time will tell, I guess.

Oi Jouluyö is pronounced exactly as it's written!😂 Just like every other word in Finnish. For some reason they don't like to decorate their words with silent letters. Strange people, I know. What an amazing song. There is nothing too complicated or original with it, just a beautiful melody and Floor's gorgeous voice. What else do you need? Hyvää Joulua!

@@rpgp6065 The Finnish "y" is the only sound giving me some trouble when pronouncing Finnish words. I'm more used to the Swedish "y" and they're different. The Finnish one is arguably easier, but it sounds like the Swedish "u", so there is a confusion...😕

I suggest you go listen to O Holy Night by Jussi Björling then. Floor is good but his rendition is out of this world, even Pavarotti thought Jussi was the best tenor ever and most would give that credit to Pavarotti himself!

@@eddiewinehosen6665 I listened to Jussi Björling singing beautifully, they sing in different ways, Jussi sings in a chesty male operatic voice, they have different vowels, sings calmly slowly, probably the best male version, and Floor sings in a head voice, higher, dynamically, communicates with the crowd, gives energy, in my opinion Floor's version is the best version.

Don't worry about pronouncing Jouluyö, a really difficult word and probably even more difficult to try to advise how to say it 😄 Nightwish is currently touring Europe. A couple of weeks ago, Finland's Independence Day was celebrated and there was a short interview with Tuomas on the TV broadcast. He said they've never had such a large audience on a European tour as now. Big arenas sold out almost everywhere. Not bad for a 26 year old band. I think reaction videos and Floor's TV shows have increased their popularity.

Floor plays a giant role in their current success. They know this. They've never praised their vocalists like they do it with Floor. Heck, they even canceled the tour, so she can get her health in order.

@@_R8x_ Of course, Tuomas talked about in that Independence Day interview how cool it was to perform two nights in a row in Amsterdam and 16,000 people both times, "it shows how big a star Floor is in her home country". Those TV Shows were well planned on their part, they saw the big picture how it helps the band. SMS Floor Jansen story, clip when Tuomas talked - he was in Germany at the Nuclear Blast office giving that interview to the program and all the video material they gave to them. They have a very strong base in Europe now - every show in Finland is big. Pretty sure in next world tour they try to do 3-4 shows in Amsterdam (2 when they start, 1-2 when they end), Wembley third time and other good venues. I am very confident that they will be the 2024 Wacken headliner.

Florida eh, I was surprised to see Nightwish is soon going to be in Miami. The Metal cruise they are part of is 4 days from Miami to Bahamas. Not something I will do, but it may be closer to you. Not sure how much they will play on the cruise, as there are a lot of bands.

Since Floor is having her radiation therapy in January, I suspect them to play a rather small set, relaxing for the rest of the cruise. Radiation therapy can knock you out of your boots for quite some time.

What I find most impressive about this performance is Floor's breath control. With her being so heavily pregnant, you would think that would put pressure on her lungs, reducing her lung capacity. Hey there Jynger!!! I'm in Alabama, so yeah, this is gonna be way cold for us in the Deep South! The high temp for us on Friday is 26°! Im just North of Birmingham proper, so yeah. I think the low that night is 8° 😳 Our house and small neighborhood is basically on top of a foothill (we're in the foothills of the Appalachians) so it's always about 5 or 6° colder than it is just 2 miles away in the main part of town of the small suburb we live in. So we will probably have a little lower temps than what's shown in the forecast. I don't think we will be leaving the house for a couple days lol! But, I'm thankful, bc it's been in the 60s and 70s the last few years on Christmas for us (even after being a high in the 30s a day or 2 before). We get plenty of colder weather here, but not cold like most people experience lol! So I feel you on that! I'm just glad that it will at least be cold this Christmas morning - no snow for us, as per usual. I had to miss Nightwish this go round, so I'm asking Santa right along with you! Lol! Tuomas has been writing the next album for Nightwish, so we will get another chance before too long, I think! Hope you & yours have a wonderful Christmas & G-d bless🤘🏻🎄❤️

Finnish is very easy to pronounce - at least until you have to communicate with the native speakers, then you run into a small problem: the real spoken language has little to do with the written one, and there are a lot of dialects. Regarding this song: Floor did a great job. Moderately butchered it, of course, but who cares. I don't understand Finnish, so I'm not bothered by it. Still, nothing beats the phonebook.🤣
