Really nice concept. Please provide locking & unlocking. Else it may slip and lead to accident. Since such support are used for placing heavy container(e.g. cupboard) or machines.

Wow, this Is amazing. Do you release your designs for personal use? Portability in my next workshop is critical and this mechanism is usually very expensive. I’m going to be diy for the fun and something like this with a threaded end for leveling is perfect for when I’ve moved certain equipment into the workspace.

Mr. Thang, would be so kind to share more of your knowledge on these more simple mechanisms, for example, hinges and contractions of a laptop bed stand make in wood? In your book part 3 there are several interesting designs, but quite complex. Either way, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge via these videos! It is very much appreciated!

@@thang010146 Thank you so much, Mr. Thang! Could I share with you the video? I'm particularly interested in the sliding arc with locking mechanism, but also its overall foldability. Here is the video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4e5g6R8i7CSmdU

Я одно не понял. Почему механизм изначально остаётся не в точке покоя пружины. И почему после нажатия педали, тоже уходит из точки покоя. Идея интересная, но не рабочая. Если кто-то не может перевести с русского, ваши проблемы 😉

At lock and unlock positions the pink and yellow levers are not in line and the tension blue spring keeps the mechanism stable.

Coincidentally, I'm building on a rolling stand for a portable table saw right now, and I've run across a surprising number of solutions to this problem of alternating between a fixed base and castors. Obviously some wheels have brakes build in. Then there are some castors with a lever to lock them down to the floor in a rolling position or unlock them so they raise up about 3/4" (which is not a lot, but fine for a smooth surface). Then there are a number of mechanisms that fold the castors up and out of the way. Some in this last category require you to use your hands, but I have found some that have a foot lever that does it all. Lots of different designs to choose from! I haven't decided which I'm going with yet.

Very interesting for furniture in the house: for better cleaning, for re-painting walls, and even to catch something otherwise not possible, fallen in a difficult area ... And safe, furniture is normally fixed, with wheels up, so no any movement in case of light headquarters ...
