Love all things Ronny Jordan. He's one of those cats that, upon hearing the first chord of whatever he's playing --- you know it's Ronny Jordan. That's rarified air. Thank you Rod Harris Jr. for doing and sharing this lesson with us. Very much appreciated.

EZOUT i dont think many people would agree with that lol

EZOUT...Thanks for watching and subscribing! I dig Ronny Jordan. However, in my humble opinion, I think Wes Montgomery could be considered "The Godfather" of cool/acid jazz. Ronny Jordan was a HUGE Wes fan and you could definitely hear Wes' influence in Ronny's playing. But I do agree that when it comes to incorporating hip-hop and jazz guitar Ronny is definitely a pioneer in that regard.

@Rod a good analysis would be Jonathan Kreisberg solo on Dr Lonnie Smith’s Back track he use chromatically in a very unique way
@RodHarrisJr4 жыл бұрын
I did not know Kreisberg recorded a version of "Back Track" with Dr. Lonnie Smith. I am hip to the version with Peter Bernstein, however. Please send the Kreisberg version....i'd love to check it out! Thanks.
