I have been watching many crochet pouf tutorials, and most work in a circle…this one is one that I can follow easily being a beginner and it will look just as good as those with “fancier” patterns. Thank you sooooooooooo much!

I've made so maFloor poufs using unwanted bed sheets and a thin blanket and sold them in markets for fundraising for animal shelter. I've also used that same material to upcycle the unwanted material into rag rugs, many beautiful colours shapes, sizes, and thickness. I'm about to finish up my knitted, small floor pour, this time, it's for my rescue cat. Have fun, everyone. I truly enjoyed this tutorial ❤. Thank you.

I remember these from the 70's. The one we had was made from an old cowhide rug that had seen better days. Mum stuffed it with old newspapers wrapped with woolpack (the stuff that removalists wrap your furniture with when moving house) that was left over from a house move. That thing was still around when I left home 15 years later...and it weighed a ton, my little brother broke his toe on it when he tripped over it in the dark...fun times... :))

What a nice floor pouf. I may try this one day but with medium yarn up to four strands. I'd start with the base to see if it works out first in either half double or double crochet. I probably would stuff it with fiber fill in a bag and end it in a drawstring to be able to wash it.

I would suggest to put the pillows and most of the fluff in a plastic bag, in that way you can actually disinfect the pouf better without the fluff absorbing extra sweat, dust and yuckier stuff) that will allow you to use it outdoors too

Thank you for this tutorial. I just finished mine. I used recycled T-shirt "yarn". It took the same amount of yards as your pattern, and I used the same size hook. It worked perfectly. T-shirt yarn is kind of stretchy, but works up firm and sturdy when stitched in this pattern. Doing this, the yarn didn't glide along, I had to firmly pull it with each stitch. The day after my first few rows, my forearms ached like crazy. Now I have buff forearms ha! I decided to line mine, so used some old pillow cases and fashioned a liner. My pouf is so cute and I love it so much! I wish there was somewhere I could post a picture of it.

I bought the bernat maker home decor yarn to make a pouf. It is a cotton nylon blend #5 yarn. I can’t wait to get started on it.
@VeeJay20064 жыл бұрын
I was going to use the same, since I already had it. Tested it in a swatch: It's a bit stretchy. Would love to hear your opinion. Thanks, Donna.

Hi Donna, the decor yarn might be too stretchy, but you could try a small sampler with a smaller hook to see how tight you can make your stitches :)
