FGVTT the MFT version is not that interesting for me.... the FF a bit more. Still, my budget for this channel is limited. If any manufacturer likes me to have a look on a camera, the would need to supply it.

Thanks a lot Baustin... "canted look"??? What does that mean? Lighting was super simple as we had basically no time to set up.

Hey Veasna, that is quite a personal story and development you got there. I'm happy to have a tiny part in your development as a filmmaker. Don't worry to much about the gear, I am sure, you could have filmed this on the BMPCC 4K without seeing a meaningful difference. Good luck and lots of passion for your journey!

I was previously leaning towards saving up to make a set of Contax Zeiss lenses, but between this video, your other video on the Mamiya lenses and Lawrence Sher’s gorgeous cinematography on JOKER (which was shot on the Alexa 65 and LF with ARRI-modded vintage Mamiya and Hasselblad Medium Format photography lenses, almost certainly including the Dark Knight 80mm f1.9), I’m starting to consider investing in MF Glass now while they’re still relatively cheap compared to the Contax Zeiss set.
@MediaDivision5 жыл бұрын
As far as I know (IMDB tech specs) Joker was shot with Hasselblad Prime DNA, so not the old Mamiyas. Still, I really like the Mamiyas. For all day work the CONTAX are the practical choice. www.cinema5d.com/arri-prime-65-s-and-prime-dna-announced/
@incendiesproductions5 жыл бұрын
Media Division Pretty sure the Prime DNAs are a combo of Hasselblad and Mamiya (though it could definitely be mostly Hasselblad), especially the Prime DNA 80mm T2/f1.9. I’m pretty sure Hasselblad only recently started making a lens of that focal length and speed, so it’s probably the Mamiya. Plus there’s a number of shots in Joker where the character of the lens and bokeh resemble what you shot here with the lens and in your other video.
@MediaDivision5 жыл бұрын
I'm am not quite sure what lenses you are talking about. The Prime DNAs I am aware of are new, and there is no 80mm T2. Any lens fast enough would resemble that Bokeh.... for example the 50mm Contax Zeiss f1.4 (that would be the FF Equivalent).

I have bought the 80mm 2.8 because of your video, but I finally move to the 1.9. Im going to buy a C/N and I really hope the new coating doesnt mess up the magic.
