That looks great well done..just quickly we were in a simular situation to you and we were on the last room..bathroom..money was short,bath,sink and loo was in..tiles at the time was really expensive so we picked up vinyl floor tiles which were cheap,,hehe,,everybody who came round loved it...we never told anybody...if asked where we got them...we couldn't remember.lol..you two are great,love watching..

Use a laser level when you do the big house. They are pretty inexpensive, and you have the tripods already.

Looks good, i have been thinking of doing something similar myself, but i was gonna go about it a different route. I previously did a planked stained plywood that turned out like a million bucks, i was thinking of doing the same thing on the wall by cutting the planks like before 4ft long, then have different tubs with different stains to get different colors, then put it on the wall once all the stain dried. i was able to get the 4x8 sheets of birch plywood for around $18/sheet previously in bulk order..

If you haven't already trimmed the wall to the ceiling joint, take the boards you're going to cover the seams with and rip some in half to run around the perimeter. It'll look great, trust me. I basically did that with our ceiling. It's a vaulted ceiling of tongue and groove Pine and the house being somewhat round, the ceiling is pie shaped. So there's a seam in the ceiling that starts at 8' wide at the outside wall and comes to near zero in the center of the house. Wish I could upload pictures to show you the effect, but I know that would look good for you.

you can go to home depot or lowe's and just browse their selection. even the really "fancy" ones are affordable. Since you are doing a wall, you don't need to get the thicker, more expensive ones and you don't need any backing underlayment.

When using the table saw foe a cutout don’t go all the way to the end of you line because your blade is round and you’ll get cut marks in the cornerL use a hand saw to cut to the corners!

Absolutely loving following your journey. Today as soon as the video started, seeing the whole family working I was transported back to my childhood. I was a wee lad when my immediate family (father, mother sister, myself) row crop farmed with my paternal grandparents and paternal uncle and his family. The farm split up and my immediate family had to build a house, farm shop, grain bins, Burry a 10,000 gal diesel tank etc to go it alone. Thereafter all the farming until I graduated from high school and went off to college. Even then, I still helped. We even lost my sister while in High School on the farm in an accident. Even with all the bad, I wouldn't trade for anything the lessons I learned and bonding with my parents of as a family of 4 (or 3). Now in my 50's, unmarried and childless, I still almost daily realize some attitude of "can do" or skill I learned during that time continues to serve me and occasionally someone else well. Well done, well done, well done you two.
