My older brother was born in ‘36 and of course watched Grand National from the beginning. Big time Chrysler, Dodge man so naturally Petty’s ruled our house and later in life he finally bought a Superbird. But, when Dodge basically got banned, he was out, never came back. His statement (not verbatim) but very close, tired of fake cars driven by millionaires, wrecking billionaires toys then crying about it like it’s their junk. I watched till about 2years after Adam died. No Petty, no NASCAR for me. Wife finally done after “Wittle Bubba Smollett” debacle. Dirt only, HTF!

Been an asphalt guy my whole life but if you want to watch the best of the best it's Dirt Late Models Hands Down!! These guys race Hard and Clean every race. No way an asphalt late model race has this many lead changes with that many different cars without wadding cars up left and right.

Davenport is amazing,Pierce is tough,Marlar makes it interesting. Larson can drive anything. Dirt is where the work gets done,but I will tune in Indy when Larson runs it.

I dont think you understand what a good driver is. Bobby is good but he does come close to Larson's talent

@@cliff4695 Kyle Larson is a take out artist. Because he's beloved by so many fans what he does he never pays for. Pierce had a flat out faster car than ol' Kyle so he never got a chance to take him out. Larson was bouncing off cars on his way to the front because that's the way he drives. When Kyle doesn't have a faster car he loses like everyone else unless he busts somebody.

Awesome racing wonder what happen if Davenport, Pierce, Marlar, etc. were to run a sprint car vs Kyle or a stock car vs Kyle probably be really ugly. These late model regulars are real good drivers, but they are 1 trick ponies, not in the class of a Kyle Larson for total ability not even close.

Larson's a great driver no doubt, but he's only winning with the fastest cars in the pits in each type of car he drives. That #6 car he's driving is undoubtedly the best prepared car in the history of dlm racing with the most resources. If he had to run his own program like alot dlm drivers, you would think "man, this guy sucks". If he ever had to drive for a team where he had extra responsibilities beyond showing up with his helmet (like 90% of the drivers on dirt) you likely would never know his name. I would like to see Larson drive for a team that isn't considered the best and become a consistent winner with them before declaring him the GOAT.
