The idea that this is a 2-piece setup, reminds me that I should mention *** GIRAFFES? GIRAFFES! *** Everyone should check these guys out. Lately they've been putting lots of time and effort into their work. They just re-mastered their two first albums, released a 2-track 7" EP and did a 10" split with Goddard where G?G!'s only track is 10+ minutes long. Find them on Bandcmap!

From watching the Seth Myers show for awhile I wondered about the female guitar player . Had no idea who she was . Anyway I never would have suspected from the show that she plays like this . Great stuff . They should let her show her stuff on the show so she gets greater exposure and people discover the talent she is . Just a suggestion .

Climbing a Wall is incredible. The only thing is that the album is mixed/mastered kind of bad. Sound has this weird layer of mud, and it's a bit "bloomy." It's the only thing that holds this back from being legendary. Still, fantastic album.
@opiumpirate5 жыл бұрын
Good call!!
@DaarthPingas5 жыл бұрын
from a first listen, the mixing and mastering is absurdly good, and helps to hold everything together in a dimly lit room for the tones of every note to shine and blister through. perfection is the enemy of good, and this sound has a great burn to it.
@DaarthPingas5 жыл бұрын
@Sho Yu Weeni im thinking that it was just some hard compression on the master to make it sound gainy and dirty like a record; i happen to crave that though
@DaarthPingas5 жыл бұрын
@Sho Yu Weeni i don't think it's really that cut and dry, i really like the super loud and warm feel that this ep gives over the other. it sounds like the amps were louder, gainier, and mixed more aggressively, which i happen to really enjoy over the current too-clean perfection that a lot of bands and studios seem to get these days. objectively, yeah the second ep is cleaner, i just like that crunch way too much. also, i was under the impression that the guitarist used a bass amp and octave pedal to get bass tones going, so there might be a lot more intricacy going on in that department between the two eps. i dunno man, i just really love loudness when pulled off correctly. sounds more alive and less sterile.

I dont suppose anyone would know where I could find any tabs for this? I appreciate its a bit niche, or any slightly more underground math rock tabs tbh
@royshantzis33218 жыл бұрын
You're better off just trying to figure out the tuning. Most math rock bands play in some open tuning that makes a lot of their music easier to play.
