For the eggs, I think it’s so important to pay a bit more for free range eggs, I’d rather just not buy them if I can’t afford them..the poor chickens in battery is just horrendous
@rachel15916 жыл бұрын
Completly agree but 'free range' is quite broad term. I'd look into it. Free range can literally mean a load of chickens with even less space than caged but without the cages, they're all just in a very crowded barn with their beaks cut off. But for example Duchy Organic free range in Tesco have access to outdoors all day and loads of space. They're amazing eggs and even in colour and taste you can tell the difference ! A lot more expensive though. Xx Edit- that should say in Waitrose not in Tesco
@rachel15916 жыл бұрын
Not hating just I was shocked when I found out and keep wanting to let other people know 😂😢
@MrMaddie19996 жыл бұрын
Rachel yes which is why when you buy eggs you should always look at the code on it and you need to make sure the first number on the egg is either 0 or 1 because that means the chickens are free range. If it is 2 or 3 don’t buy them as it means they are battery hens. You should also make sure the eggs have UK on them as otherwise they have been imported. You’ll be surprised if you look in a lot of eggs which claim to be free range however are not at all.

@lilyanderson28466 жыл бұрын
The more expensive animal products that you have bought just means that the animal has had a better quality of life than your other video. For instance, the egg in the previous video would have been from battery hens in tiny cages and pumped with steroids. The eggs in this video however were free range, meaning the chicken's would have had some (not a lot) of breathing space. Not a criticism, just a comment but can you please do your research on where your food comes from before doing one of these videos as you are reaching such a large audience. :))
@xkrc06x695 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily, you can get cheaper free range eggs, you just have to shop around and make sure that you are getting the best deal- cheaper food doesn't always mean that animals are treated badly. I'm not trying to be rude, and I think it's good to try and inform people, and this is what I know. 🙂

The difference between tesco finest and tesco value is that tesco finest is more organic than the value. The meat for example the animals aren't pumped with chemicals to keep the animals healthy, they are fed properly and treated properly, the eggs as well the chicken aren't pumped with chemicals they are fed seeds which if why they are free range however you can still get tesco value free range eggs. Finally the fruit and veg is also more organic they aren't sprayed with chemicals to make them grow faster, they take more time which is why they are more expensive. So YES they may all taste the same but it's behind the scenes that makes it more expensive. Things like Branston beans and tesco value are probably made in the same factory also foods like chocolate biscuits etc.

Love your videos recently ana, the main difference between the pricing of eggs, is actually how the chickens are treated cheap eggs from supermarkets usually come from chickens which aren’t treated so well the finest range and some other brands which cost a little extra are from chickens and farms who allow their chickens to roam around fed better and be well.. chickens. However you could find the same free range eggs from farms shops or direct from people who own them allot cheaper for the same quality I used to own 26 and sell them at farm shops dotted around as I obviously couldn’t eat them all 😂 x
