Meg and Cal. Just started watching your channel and I find you both so wonderful to watch. Well done. You are so authentic. if we are ever in the same part of the planet, I hope I get a chance to buy you both a pint. You just seem like great people. Looking forward to watching all your videos. P.S. Meg, the couple of glimpses of the food you are producing in that tiny kitchen are intriging. Obviously skilled. I would love to see more of that. Most people do not understand how difficult that is. And Cal, your chill personality and willingness to deal with the normal ups and downs without being overly dramatic is refreshing. You both inspire me with your good humour, enthusiasm and patience to travel to the places you go. Thank you.

Hello Dayn! Firstly, sorry for our super-slow response. We usually manage to respnd a lot quicker! We're really glad you're enjoying the content 😁 we absolutely loved making the videos and can't wait to put more out in the future! I'm sure it's not an impossibility that our paths will cross one day! We're looking forward to hitting the road and getting some miles covered. Meg managed to work wonders in our tiny kitchen 😁 she's a trained chef so tea times always pretty good! Hope you're well

Who’d of thought a video about your dirty washing, would be so gripping. Yes you may have a van full of washing, midges, rain and a dented bumper... but you’re not at work, you have your amazing van and are surrounded by amazing views...no brainier ! Looking forward to the next vid...👕👙🦟🌧🚙👍

For clothes drying, how about a pop up toilet tent with a small fan heater at the bottom? It creates a drying room which I’ve seen people do before. You would need a site with electric hookup of course.

Bless your hearts you poor things. A fab video once again though. We are in Sussex and have been watching steam trains trundle last where we are staying in our van this week. I guess it must have been too wet to dry the clothes under the awning you have. Have a great time in Holland can’t wait for the next one xx

Hi Guys. I’ve just “binge watched” your 8 part UK tour. Thoroughly enjoyed it and enjoyed seeing some places I’ve been before. Thank you for taking us with you on your ‘van life’ journey. Can I suggest you do the NC500 in full at some point, and also do Orkney and Shetland? One thing though.... I really like the music you used throughout the UK tour. Do you have a playlist available? Regards from Central Scotland. 😊🏴
@FloraTheNoviceExplorers4 жыл бұрын
Thank you Sandy! So happy you’ve found us and have enjoyed our UK travels. NC500, Orkney and Shetland are all on the bucket list vanlife mood board we have created! Can’t wait to travel to Scotland again. The music we have used is all found on epidemic sounds - we haven’t made a playlist yet as it’s a bit tricky - we will have to remember them all! But it’s something we will look into! Thanks for getting in touch! 👍👍🚐🚐😊

Hi Kids, glad you are enjoying your journey. Try putting a dry bath towel in the dryer with the washing, helps to do the job. I've used these machines before and i give the drying an hour in the machine. Bone dry. As for the weather, can you trust it in any country? Stay safe and keep up the good work. 👍🖖😎🐔🏝

Hi guys! Love the adventures your having, very envious! I noticed you mentioned about the dark days with the solar, do you have a split charge system to top it up when driving, or just the solar? Shame about the bumper, a load of boiling water on it, whilst pushing from behind with your hand in a towel, it’ll pop out... I’m currently binge watching the entire thing episode by episode, so sorry if the things have already been mentioned......Right, onto the next episode......
@FloraTheNoviceExplorers5 жыл бұрын
Hello Alistair! Thank you :) we’re still enjoying it too! Yes, when this was recorded we were using purely solar, which did well for a while. But we’ve had a split charge unit fitted in the last couple weeks, so we’re doing so much better. Hope you enjoy the binge, plenty of videos uploaded but we’ve got many more (better ones in my opinion ;) ) in the pipeline! Thanks again

Alistair O'Grady Alistair O'Grady I don’t know why I thought just solar would suffice! Wish I’d have the foresight to instal a fancy dc charger! Ah well :p next time. Our night heater has been a life saver on this trip!

Hey I stumbled here after watching your van build, and I've binge watched up to this episode so far. Absolutely love it and hope to build a van and go on some adventures of my own eventually. I have a couple of questions (I don't know if you cover these late on). 1. Do you guys still do some work on your travels to pay for fuel food, and insurance? 2. Do you need specialist insurance for living in the van? 3. Do you keep clean using baby wipes between showers? Thanks, I've subscribed and looking forward to watching the next episodes.
@FloraTheNoviceExplorers4 жыл бұрын
Hey Mark, thank you so much for watching, there’s plenty more travel videos to watch - Scotland was in our first month and we’ve been on the road now for 13 months! We would love to know what you think if you continue to watch our adventure. 1) we saved up for nearly 3 years, paying off any debts and actually building the van. So we had a healthy £6K each to come away with. We haven’t worked but I (Meg) did have an online remote job for a month but due to coronavirus got let go. We had the odd small youtube earnings and some amazon affiliate links that we earn a bit from too - but not much to write home about. 2) We are insured through Brentacre as a motorhome as we managed to change Flora’s log book to a motor caravan- but since we did that the rules have now changed. With Brentacre you state all of the modifications, for us it’s been great and pretty cheap. 3) We have avoided baby wipes because we hate they way they aren’t decomposable and are made from plastic - we use a bucket and a good old flannel in between showers. It’s great to know you have subbed and are watching! Keep the questions coming! Meg & Cal 👍👌🚐

@@FloraTheNoviceExplorers Thanks, I'm nearly up to date. I loved how you guys make the viewer feel like they are on the adventure with you, and although the editing and camera work is great it still feels very honest and personal. I also love the 'wish you were here' tones to each place you visit. The brothers Grimm journey took me back to the old books I read as a kid. I see you're nearly at the end of this adventure, and do look forward to seeing your next chapters. The videos have been very inspiring, and I'm off to look at a cheap camper van tonight to hopefully do some uk trips in and see if the reality of short breaks in a camper is for us or not. Safe travels to you both.

Thanks for the feedback, we really do appreciate it. We’re just over the moon with how the videos have been received 😊Yes, sad this adventure is coming to a close but there’ll be more for sure! We’ve had an excellent time. Oh fantastic, sounds good 👍 you’ll have to let us know the verdict on the van and what your plans are! Good luck with it 😌
