This is one of the few songs that make me cry. It offers redemption for the listener and forgiveness of ones sins. This song makes the weight of the world come off of ones shoulders. It is a painful experience, but a much needed one, like removing a deep splinter to prevent infection. The bridge itself holds a lot of power with the background vocals, and that final and strong cry in second “the only thing you let hold you” as if to affirm freedom from pain. This song will forever hold a deep and special meaning in a dark hour.
