Florence + The Machine - Cosmic Love (Lyrics)
A falling star fell from your heart and landed in my eyes
I screamed aloud, as it tore through them
And now it's left me blind
The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart
And in the dark, I can hear your heartbeat
I tried to find the sound
But then it stopped, and I was in the darkness
So darkness I became
The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart
I took the stars from our eyes, and then I made a map
And knew that somehow I could find my way back
Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too
So I stayed in the darkness with you
The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart
The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart

I didn't see lyrics in the comments so I'm doing a community service A falling star fell from your heart and landed in my eyes I screamed aloud, as it tore through them, and now it's left me blind The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out You left me in the dark No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight In the shadow of your heart And in the dark, I can hear your heartbeat I tried to find the sound But then it stopped, and I was in the darkness, So darkness I became The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out You left me in the dark No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight In the shadow of your heart I took the stars from our eyes, and then I made a map And knew that somehow I could find my way back Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too So I stayed in the darkness with you The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out You left me in the dark No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight In the shadow of your heart The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out You left me in the dark No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight In the shadow of your heart

The theme of unrequited love has so many songs dedicated to it that making one that's actually original is by definition not the easiest task. Then Florence Welch comes along and writes one in five minutes. And then she and her band manage to create a symphony this mesmerising to go along with it. I am not a fan of most of their songs - not because they're bad, but because it's not my taste - but I can't imagine that there would be people unable to appreciate the musical genius behind such breathtaking beauty expressed through music. If ever there was an artist deserving of a Grammy.
@torpedohorst

It's been one year according to youtube. And no one yet put a comment under this wonderful statement. But it is true though. Mesmerising it is. Breathtaking and genius. A falling star fell from your heart and landed in my eyes I screamed aloud, as it tore through them And now it's left me blind The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out You left me in the dark No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight In the shadow of your heart And in the dark, I can hear your heartbeat I tried to find the sound But then it stopped, and I was in the darkness So darkness I became The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out You left me in the dark No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight In the shadow of your heart I took the stars from our eyes, and then I made a map And knew that somehow I could find my way back Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too So I stayed in the darkness with you The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out You left me in the dark No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight In the shadow of your heart The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out You left me in the dark No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight In the shadow of your heart

No one has or will create anything like this. Very original and she's the only artist that has the voice for it.

Welcome to quarantine. You have lots of time in house so it must be a quite long marathon lol

Let's all agree that we dance to this song like deranged hippies but since it's Flo we just don't care. Because Momma Flo is also crazy and if she were with us in our room she would also dance with us no matter how dumb the dance is.

If Mathew introduced... You should rethink your music sources because many of us have known Florence + the machine for a while!!!!!! Don't rely on music from the too 40 radio when there's so many amazing music out there!!! Indie/alternative rock is an amazing genre people need to discover and I'm glad Mathew is breaking the color barrier of this genre and doing a great job representing the indie rockers in the voice :)
