Thanks for completing a 'reccy' of the jewellery shops (which I watched in slow motion to choose the best 'pieces'). The escape route isn't too far and hopefully the trains run on time for the getaway!

Thanks for your video, it gave a good representation of the fast Italian trains. I would like to have seen station names in the captions, so that we can follow the route. Even when you shot when the train was travelling slowly through a station you did not show the name. I have travelled from Milan to Venice, but not from Florence.
@Hastdupech85094 жыл бұрын
Florence main train station is Firenze Santa Maria Novella (often Firenze S.M.N.) and it takes its name from the famous nearby church from the Renaissance (I think it was built by Alberti or Brunelleschi, can't remember now). Anyway, the station itself was built during Fascism, or at least its modern style is due to a Rationalist fascist architect

May I ask where you validate your ticket before boarding leaving Florence to go to Venice thanks, we are buying our tickets ahead of time and will be taking the high speed train.
@stefano_etrusco2 жыл бұрын
High speed train tickets don’t need any validation, since they are sold to be used only on a particular train (i.e. train number, day and hour) and have assigned seats with your name on them. If you miss that particular ride, you have to ask for a ticket change and pay a fee (usually 10 EUR). Validation is needed only when you buy open tickets, especially on regional lines, in order to prevent you from using them multiple times.

Hi there! I am planning of going to Italy next year. Just a question, Is there a direct train from Rome to Tuscany(San Gimignano) or do I have to stop in Florence first? Thanks!
@icyndaquilhd79533 жыл бұрын
Hi!! You need to take an high speed train from Rome to Florence,when you arrive in Florence you need to take a regional train to Siena,during your train journey on this regional train you will have to get off the train at a station called "Poggibonsi-San Gimignano",from there you take a bus and you will arrive in San Gimignano. Have a nice journey here in Italy🇮🇹💕

Train is great, the Italian high speed service almost always is. What stands out to me in the video is Florence, the tourism is completely out of control. I spent about 6 months there in late 90’s for a semester abroad and it was busy but still a real living city, now it looks like an amusement park with nothing but annoying tourists. Hopefully the government can get a better balance once Covid settles, I feel terrible for the lovely people I met living there
@Hastdupech85094 жыл бұрын
It ended up being like Venice, it just looks like a historical amusement park and nothing more
@eva16012 жыл бұрын
true. many Europeans cities have the same issue sadly. the city centre of Amsterdam feels the same way, also some areas of Barcelona. it's a very difficult balance to strike

@alessandrobernardini28834 жыл бұрын
No, it's forbidden, even in the bathroom. You can smoke in the open spaces in the stations. Tranitalia and Frecciarossa did this to fight smoke for other passengers' comfort and for people's health
