When listening to those piano solo bonus tracks on the Popol Vuh albums, I always said, I wish there was a whole album of just Florian Fricke playing solo piano. And here it is! Especially nice to have Spirit of Peace all in order and in one place.

Perfect songs to read the subjective forms of the clouds and to follow with a tender eye the grooves of the stems of the trees; appreciate the complex writing of the nested branches, taste the colors of the decomposition of light into water droplets in a garden, and strongly feel the wet soil of ancestral forest to perceive the traces of animals from deep past 🐯

Popol Vuh have produced great albums Florian's contributions were surely significant. This solo pioano work is pleasant enough but not so much as to distiguish it from other ambient noodling by other new age pianists. I'll stick to the Popol Vuh albums. My sensitive side is intact and welll just a wee bit bored. Considering the name of the site that may be the intention,could easily fall asleep to this.
