@@DaRealJA that’s idiotic to say. Right now I can name three examples of students violently attacking teachers, causing permanent bodily harm to them. No adult should ever intentionally harm a child, but this stupid delusion that every teacher can just “walk away” every time is the reason we are losing competent people that actually care and want to do the job. Again, I doubt this man tossed his whole life down the drain over a snarky adolescent. As I said before, I’d have to see the tape, to see what processed the event, and the circumstance that elicited the chokehold. When i was in 3rd grade back in 99, I got choked by my teacher's assistant. I was going threw a lot, i was placed in foster care for child abuse by my father. Then, while in foster care, attacked and beaten by the first foster family, so i was placed in another foster home, placed in a new school and I acted out one day from everything going on. The TA was supposed to take me to the office but instead took me in the computer lab and started choking me. I was able to get away and ran to the main office to tell them i was being choked by the TA but every staff member in that office started laughing at me. I told my new foster mom, and. She tells me that since she dont see any marks on my neck, it didn't happen. But i still remember that to this day at 34 years old. To have no one believe me at that time hurt so much. So, i feel for this kid in this story and glad that the teacher and principal were exposed for what they did. There are better ways to approach kids.

We have no idea of what transpired, which I bet was self defense, to make a man come to the point to subdue the student in this way. Being in some of these classrooms with aggressive, angry and abusive children, along with the children who instigate them for fun, is a dangerous situation and educators are getting seriously injured, shot, and blinded by 'innocent' children. The truth is these teachers and administrators are at a loss about how to deal with these situations. Teachers can't legally "walk away" from a student by leaving the classroom, and security is not present within the classroom. Everybody lost something or someone during the pandemic such as jobs, housing, loved ones, their health, etc and this trauma has negatively affected everyone's mental health, and people seem to be taking out their anger on people that are working to serve the public such as teachers, bus drivers, restaurant and store workers, etc.
