Shane Walters Raised letter K5LAs sound awful in my opinion. The best pre raised letter K5LAs were made in the late 90s and delivered on Amtrak’s P42s, with the 80s and late 70s versions coming in a close second

Really nice looking train sets; I like push-pull mode. I would love to see trains of this nature operating across Pennsylvania ,and west into Ohio. Reasonably fast trains that are fairly frequent, but most importantly, punctual, is what’s needed. I wish there was a train like this going from Wheeling ,WV To Athens ,OH!

This must be from the Miami area. Palm Beach Country does not allow trains to use horns any longer. It's why there have been so many suicides by train accidents.

The way they are building this line is well thought out as it is sections, people can see the benefits of the West Palm to Miami and are now wanting brightline to stop at their communities. When it expands to Orlando and Tampa then it will take off. I have already seen the positive impact on my friends who use to commute to Miami and they will never drive in again, one even comes in from Jupiter to West Palm.

Actually, before there was supposed to be a true high speed rail project in Florida, but that got cancelled a while ago because it would’ve been “too costly.” I just wish that if ur country says they’re gonna make high speed rail, they do it right, even if it means taking a step by step approach

I live in West Yorkshire,it is 190 miles from Leeds city centre to London Kings Cross,trains every half hour and 20 mins peak time,2hrs 10 mins,including four stops,fast enough already,lots of new 125mph trains, so spend on the current infrastructure and scrap the politicians vanity projects,there are commuter trains still in use in the forgotten north of England that are too small and 40 plus years old,thats where the money should be spent. not on a High speed rail no one except the politico wants! It has already over run its original estimated cost i think of around 52 million pounds and is double and barely a spade in the ground! No give us reliability and a good infrastructure and we would be happy little bunnies! I hope it expands in the US but your competitor is the airlines of course because of distance but regular 100mph running shouldnt be out of the question if the freight railroads were interested,but unless they were to be running passenger service themselves?you never know the future may bring?

could Congres allow private companies like virgin train USA to take over some of Amtrak's shorter routes like Chicago to Milwaukee thereby no longer meeting tax dollars the companies can bring in their own trains and use existing tracks thinking also Cover the cost upgrading tracks two double tracks if needed no tax dollars this will allow Amtrak to focus more on their long distance routes

Yup they we're custom built by seimens and it seems via rail liked them enough that they bought an entire fleet of streamlined trainsets. for the're Windsor corridor.

good to see Brightline building the LA to Vagas line. again 125 mph. if they wee to extend that up to Salt Lake city that would be something too. Us is now doing what other countries have done but they need to get together so that the entire country benefits rather than some states. If they increase their local lines, get people back on the tracks; who knows where the first intercontinental line might be. would have to be purpose built but could really complete with the airlines. France proved it first and then Eurostar has taken 60% of the business traffic on the London to Paris route.

Seems odd that there are two locomotives for only four rail cars. Those locomotives are about as powerful as the ones used for GO Transit commuter rail, but they use one for 10-12 bi-level coaches.
