I passed my B&F exam. i have my trade exams coming in a month. I contacted CamTech school about only purchasing homework and practice quizzes from them and they said no. They are basically asking me to spend the $2k for their class which is pricey. I have already spent enough on other courses and the books. Would you be willing to sell the me practice quizzes/exams that you used? You can PM. Thanks man!

Great video man and congrats on passing all three test I’m currently taking my Business and finance tomorrow I signed up for the other two But the website keeps crashing and doesn’t load up the page that shows what books I can bring to project management and contract administration By any chance you wouldn’t happen to remember I also went to camtech so I have everything

To be honest, I can’t fully remember which books you’re not allowed to bring. But I believe there are two books that you can’t bring in one is the course book. I forget what the other one is but they will go through your books when you get there and let you know what you can’t bring in.

Hi Brian, Would an associates degree count as some experience? Im looking into getting my CGC but I read that once you have a CBC for 4 years you automatically qualify for the CGS. Does it need to be supervisor experience for the CBC as well? or general construction experience counts.

I’m going through a school called “CEI” I’m studying hard on my prep courses etc.. This exam is very difficult. How many months would it take for me to actually get this Florida Business & Finance Exam down packed? What advice would you give me?
@briandavis1798 Жыл бұрын
I went through a different school called Camtech. I think realistically you can be ready for the exam in one month just the business and finance part. My best advice would be to double down on the homework memorize as many of those questions and answers as you can. I don’t know what materials they gave you because you’re taking a different course but in my course the class work was important but the bread and butter of the exam was the homework. So double down on that homework, best of luck!

I don’t believe you passed anything! The proctor literally gives you a paper with your score immediately after you pass or fail so you should know which test got what score.Also its CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION!

What’s up, Jes! You actually do not need to verify your experience anymore. They changed that recently what you will do is you will sign an affidavit swearing that everything you are saying is true and they will honor that.

I'm concerned about how I'm going to prove the four-year experience. I've worked in the field for many years but have always been paid cash. I've heard that you could get a general contractor to write a letter as proof of the experience. If that is true, I'd have to go that route.
@briandavis17988 ай бұрын
The biggest thing is going to be documenting the projects you worked on and having those contractors sign off on it. As long as you do that you won’t need to be shown any W-2s or anything like that, but they are very stringent on what the requirements are for the project certainspecifications need to be met in order for you to obtain the different licensing

So 2 months studying 2 hours per day is enough to pass the exams? What percentage of the test is open book?
@briandavis17987 ай бұрын
That’s basically what I study. Before that I did months of highlighting the books preparing them tabbing them the whole nine. 100% of the test is open book but they only let you use certain books but I would say 90% of the answers you can find.

Hey Brian, sitting in the camtech technical class as we speak. Very confused on these plans and math questions. Would you compare the actual test to the take home exams homework? What was your experience with the technical side?
@briandavis179811 ай бұрын
Congratulations on getting in the class taking the first step! I would compare the test more to the homework than anything I learned in class. To be completely honest with you I didn’t understand a thing in any of the classes and it was a little bit stressful for me, but I just double down on the homework. I knew that I was putting in the work behind the scenes at home so as long as I did that, I knew that no matter what happened in the test I would be OK with it. And I crushed it so just hammer on that homework. Good luck!!!

@@briandavis1798 thanks for that quick response, I appreciate it. Getting started on the process has been very stressful, cause my father just died and we were about to start rolling the ball for me to get my license. He was an Architect and Contractor for 50+ years, now that he’s gone, I’m forced to fast track myself into getting certified, or I have to let his business dissolve. I’m not sure how I prove my experience with him now that he is gone though. Aside from 3 years working solely with him and for myself, I have my whole life of experience having him and his associates who taught me the industry. I’ve also spent years building with him on the side. So it’s a lot of “informal” experience, but jut as valuable in my mind.

@Fuggetaboutit1776 Жыл бұрын
@briandavis1798 I passed business and finance. Not much math. Contract administration and project management BOTH had over 10 math questions each. I wasn't prepared to answer formulas, plan take offs, and drawn out math questions and failed BOTH tests by a few questions. So I'm tutoring with jack S. And I'll be prepared. You can only miss 15 questions on these 2 smaller tests. So pretty much have to get all the questions correct, miss a few and guess on the math if you don't know the math. I was surprised, figured I'd breeze through the C.A. and project management was a bitch too. Questions buried and could be in 3 different books etc. I didn't go to camtek. Just read,took tests, get as much help as available on line. Those crash courses are a joke. So basically old school know your books. Read! I've been in construction 43 years. You did well getting in the 80s with the scores. Being book smart helps for sure.
