What was not to enjoy? That sunrise, yes I'd get up early for that. Awesome way to start the year. Love your excited pooches as they realize they are in for a walkies treat. So cute. And those faces through the trailer window when you've parked up (@2:11). Cheese, yes please. I've just had my yoghurt or I'd be in the kitchen making myself a cheese toasted sandwich for sure. the Gobbler sandwich sounds Great, Heirloom, vine ripe tomato slices (Cherokee Purples) on toasted bread with cheeze is good, and would work with tomato soup.

We cracked up watching your signals. We started using a new system of backing that has worked GREAT. Bev calls me on the truck speaker phone, gets behind the Airstream and gives me about 5 commands. Hard driver, little driver, straighten up, little passenger, and hard passenger are the back-up commands, along with pull forward. These have worked amazingly well and we are still married and smiling.😂😊John and Bev

😂😂😂 Believe it or not, we RARELY have disagreements about backing in. This particular spot was challenging in so many directions AND was after a somewhat stressful drive into the state forest (as we mentioned, we are technically too long according to the reservation system, and would definitely not recommend anyone larger than us attempt to camp there unless you're prepared for some rubbing and scratching). Our philosophy for the channel is to share the good with the bad, and couldn't pass up this opportunity! Great advice on the commands. 👍 Thanks so much for watching. -Howard

I probably should have said in my original comment but I did actually see that episode with the dog bite, that’s why I was wondering how they’re all getting along now. I rescue dogs quite a bit in the UK so I’ve had many issues like this. One time with two particular dogs that I had it became so bad that they couldn’t bare the sight of each other and we had to separate the house in two halves with one staying in the kitchen and one in the living room. But we couldn’t give any of them up so it was a difficult few years. I rescue a lot of older dogs so luckily it wasn’t for too long. So glad you’re not at that stage, it would be impossible in your RV

It's interesting you mention separating the dogs. We do the best we can to give each dog a safe space, and funny as it sounds, Scout loves the bed area we've made in the RV shower. No major issues of note since working with the trainer. Really admire the work you're doing with dogs in the UK! 👍 -Howard

I'm surprised that you didn't go downtown St Augustine one of the oldest cities in the whole United States founded by Spain in 1565. It's amazing place with history architecture the water awesome restaurant just lots of things to do there. I lived in Florida 26 years about 30 minutes from St Augustine. Crescent beach and matanzas beach is my favorite .I have been there over hundreds of times.

Just FYI, my husband and I BARELY made it to midnight on New Year’s! 😆 There is nothing like sunrise on the beach. But not as good as a dog-friendly brewery with a donut stout?? We have a great dog -friendly brewery here called Third Turn, so I’m going to suggest a donut stout! And probably some grilled cheese, which I will absolutely dip! 😃

It was beautiful! We did find a tick on one of the pups after the walk, we check them thoroughly. No chiggers though. Those things are awful, growing up in VA I've gotten into them a few times hiking through the woods. -Katelyn

So glad you found us and hope you enjoy Ormond as much as we did! The vibe of the area is relaxed, and you're still close to larger cities for specialty shopping and airports. Traveling with 3 dogs does require a little more forethought, but is absolutely doable! Number 1 tip: try to have a spot for each dog to consider "theirs." Really helps them adjust and keeps the peace. Hope you'll continue on the journey with us! 👍 -Howard

We visited Ormond and Tomoka State Park a lot growing up because my grandparents lived there. They lived on a houseboat so we were always on the water. So many great memories running around Tomoka. Thanks for the video.

I live 2 blocks south of Ormond Beach and yes the natives know it is the INTRAcoastal. Glad you liked Tomoka SP. Take the dog there and rent canoes when family comes down and that concession is open.

You need a tree wedge Katelyn. Amazing little things you learn when people share as I also thought it was intercoastal pronounced. So walking on the trails is there ever a fear of alligators with the dogs or do they always have postings?. So glad you are finding places in Florida with how it gets so booked up.

Haha, a tree wedge would be helpful but definitely frowned upon since we were in a state forest 😆 We were surprised too about intra versus inter! I'm always a little nervous but we keep our eyes peeled! There are usually signs posted in the areas with known activity. Yes!
