Haha definitely would not recommend getting there so late 😅 but thank goodness for TSA precheck! I definitely saw people who missed their flight that got stuck in the long line. Small space so the line from screening actually backed into line for security check-in so people seemed to wait a while

Of course, another option is CTTransit's #206 bus which stops right in front of the terminal. The current fare (as of March, 2023) is $1.75.

Also during the winter vacation season, all lots were full too. They told us to go to the State Street garage, but that was also full! So they told us to go to the Union street garage, which is what I recommend if all lots are full. A shuttle came around for us too, and we even got a discount for the parking

Awesome! Yeah I thought I saw parking $10 a day online with reservation at Union street garage and shuttle available, then clicked the link and it seemed to be old news 🤷🏻‍♂️ because it didnt seem available by the time I was getting close to my trip. Seems like they have to stay dynamic to help accommodate until they can expand

Thanks for the comment! I really wish I did but we were in a bit of a rush and missed the opportunity this round upon arrival process. BUT what I can tell you: Arriving back at Tweed - you leave the plane by going outside so be sure to have your jacket ready (winter season anyway). Walking off, entering the building there will be a group of people right near the entrance-- and theyre waiting for their checked bags actually! Conveyer belt is one strip where checked bags come out of. Believe theres really only one but they joked overhead like, "your bags will come out of carousel 1" as if there was another one 😂 everyone laughed. Bathrooms are a bit small- on mens it's just one stall and one urinal so there was a short line. Rental car section right there in same room next to conveyer belt. Upon exiting building, lot of cars picking up people, but honestly just a little walk around the corner of the building is the front so I would have just had my friend pick me up from there had I known! I didnt see a way to get to departure side again from the inside so it sems you DO have to go outside in order to get to the front entrance/departure side again. Hope that helps!

I love this airline! It’s so convenient for me. I fly them from HVN-PBI all the time and I really hope they continue to expand. They just added a new route from HVN today too. I really hope the plan to remodel this entire airport and build a new terminal gets approved

This is a great video. I've used Avelo to fly to FL twice with no issues. I plan on continuing to use them because who doesn't like to save money? Also the convenience is amazing being that I live not too far from Tweed. 😊

i recently picked a friend up from Tweed, who was visiting from FL. One thing I was surprised about was the parking. Like the Bradley Flyer in Hartford, CT Transit should provide a shuttle from Union Station in New Haven to Tweed. Not only would it help people out who live in The Elm city who want to fly out of Tweed (helpful to all the college students), but with a shuttle from the train station, it would also be convenient for people from NYC area, maybe a cheaper option of lying to FL compared to JFK.

Hi I am planning to take this airline from Fort Lauderdale to Raleigh. How would you rate this airline from one to ten? Did they lose your luggage. How was the customer service. Do you have to pay for carry on bags

Hi Duane - I've only used them once to get to florida from CT but I'd give them a solid 8. They gave me what I expected, simple no fluff. Luggage was not lost. And yes you get one personal item but in the vid you should be able to see the exact chart that says carryon & check in bag are same cost $40
