That is a pretty long trail system. Nice and green plus well maintained. Lots of tunnels to hoot in too. LOL. Pretty cool to see the turtle. Looked like a great day on the trail. Lots of miles. Well done. Have a great day.

It's a nice trail on the Cross Florida Greenway. I hiked through this area back in 2019 now they have a bike trail there. 👍

These are great trails, both of them. I hiked the Santos trail back in 2019 over the I-75 Land Bridge but now I had a chance to ride it. 👍

Stay warm in this weather! This is a nice bike trail! Be safe! Some of these farm roads you take are too small. The Withlacoochee trail is amazing! We want to do it one day!

Withlacoochee Trail is beautiful. You could start from Inverness and ride south 7 miles to Floral City (cool old historic town) and back to Inverness. Nice 14 mile ride.

Yeah it's one of the longest trails in Florida 46 miles and it's connected with the Good Neighbor Trail as you know it opens up all other trail network.

Yes, only a short section on the road, mostly trails. Santos Trails and Withlacoochee Trail is such a great place to ride.

It was great to finally see what the Santos trail looks like. The wife and I are thinking about retiring to Ocala and good cycling areas is high on my list. Between the two trails it definitely looks possible to put down some serious miles with little to no traffic. Look forward to more of your videos.

Ocala is a great place to retire. Not far from lots of bike trails. Santos Trails are one of the best.

Cross Florida Canal was planned for a long time but eventually stopped. They actually got most work done already till it was stopped by the president's executive order. It was really devastating for Florida's ecosystem and wildlife. Glad they turned the remaining part into Greenway. I hiked the Greenway back in 2019 and now biked.

Another great video, Thomas! Can't wait to get down there on the 29th. I hope the weather is good. I've stayed at Silver Lake twice. This time I'm going further in to Cypress Glen to avoid the traffic noise. Oh yeah, and I know that opening on the trail to get to the campground! I always forget it's there.

Snowbird crossing, haha. That's good that the campground is right next to the trail. Great way to ride the trail and stay overnight. I need to look up where the Cypress Glen is?

@@FollowThomas It's where Silver Lake is. You just go further down the camground road (Silver Lake Road), about half a mile. I haven't actually been yet but I'm assuming it's a bit quieter.

I do these kinds of 4-6 day bike trips once a month or so. I'm self-employed and my business is online so it gives me lot of freedom to go whenever opportunities open up. I do plan ahead to know where I go. Florida is great for bike touring. Lots of bike trails and places to go. Thanks for following along and I'm sure our paths will meet somewhere, it's a small world 🙂

This is a great area to ride. The Withlacoochee Trail is connected to the Good Neighbor Trail which is connected to the Pinellas trail system. We had a Christmas Day gathering in Dade City. I was picked up from there.
