I would do it in those new rigid inflatable kayaks that feel like inflatable paddleboards in terms of stiffness. Just want to make sure it’s pretty puncture resistant. Not that there is anything in the water that would puncture your kayak, it would just not be fun to be halfway down and stuck with a sinking ship. Have fun and thank you for the comments!

Is the tree jumping and rope swing apart of the park or will you get in trouble for swimming and jumping
@KayakCliff4 жыл бұрын
Swimming is no problem at all, you can actually swim the whole length of it if you want.....Rope swinging out of trees is at your own risk and not provided by the park. Only landowners adjacent to the river that just put up a swing. Be careful.

@djjnonya21703 жыл бұрын
yes you will see the occasional alligator in the River. I saw once about 15 years ago and was swimming the river towing my kayak behind me. He paid no attention to me. I got a nice picture and went on my way. Also saw a number of manatees, river otters, the hippo, when it was still there, and even the monkeys on the island that were kept there by the park as well as the racoons that the tour boat from the park would feed. I've been swimming that river since 1985. Currently live in California and I cannot get back to Florida to get back into that water.

the last time I was there the tree was still there. They will never win that battle because people will just find another tree. They would have to cut all of them down. I have jumped from the highest point of the tree that they feature in the video and jumped from another one probably 25 years ago. I have been going to that river forever. Glad to see people picking up the trash it's so annoying. They tried to open a part of it for access without a boat but then people left garbage everywhere so they had to close it.
