This song and several others on this album are the primary reasons why I became a musician. I first heard this when I was seven.

Nearly 20 years ago I was so inspired when I first heard this song. Until this day soloist Deloris Cain and this song still remain as my greatest inspiration. When I'm feeling down and things don't seem to be going right I play this song. My intentions someday is to visit her church. God bless you Reverend Cain

Will someone ask Pastor Delores' church please get her permission to set up a Facebook page for her? I was and still am such a fan of hers! I would love to see her today and her church family. How is she? I knew the man that wrote this song, the late Dwight E. Woods of Greenville, SC! Thank you!

Now on a little history why choirs sounded like they were singing falsetto is because they were trying to master the skill of covertone which wasn't brought out famously until the Bishop TD Jakes potter's house mass choir era in the late 90s into the 2000s only Caucasian choirs had this mastered before that because their choral voices are not as powerful as the African American voice so in order to hit the high notes in contemporary gospel music they breath from their diaphragm and used head tone together black people mastered it further by breathing from diaphragm and using chest tone for a richer sound so if the choir's of back then were still here they would sound like the recording potters house mass choir and I know we all miss the Mississippi mass choir Ill see you in the rapture album sound however a lot of clinicians that worked behind the scenes talk about how that loud deep dark sound on high notes was literally stripping their choir's vocal cords rev James Cleveland voice before he passed proved why choirs are using covertone now that super loud singing also puts wear and tear on other physical elements of the body everything from throat cancer, heart❤ attack and stroke to sugar diabetes because of the cortisol an unhealthy stress hormone that is released which a lot of artist both religious and secular have succumbed to so it may not seem fair that the clinicians that remains don't let us in on the deep dark sound like they had but they are now more conscious of good health and want our generation of singers to live longer than the clinicians and singers did back then and that's why God has revealed grace to us in a more practical way so loud singing is a plus but no longer the only option.
