interesting fact: if you are covered with health insurance through your former FRS employer employer, your HIS payment will be tax excluded as long as the HIS payment paid to you equals or exceeds what you've paid as a premium.

Does accepting V.A. medical benefits negate receiving the subsidy since I would not be "technically" accepting health insurance?

prohomevideos - no it doesn't matter who you're insured through, as long as you have coverage. You still get the HIS with VA and Medicare coverage
