I spotted a pair of crocodiles sunbathing on someone's concrete slab. Florida's truly wild - unexpected guest.

Seen a few while visiting FL many years ago. Definitely prehistoric looking and rather frightening to know just how close is the area they do live next to people. 😳

Alligators live in fresh water, crocs in salt water. The water in the Everglades is a mixture that keeps both happy.

@kevint1911Ай бұрын
Yes, it appears to be an American Crocodile. Until recently I didn’t know there were any crocodiles in the U.S. Apparently the American Crocodile ranges from South America to the U.S.
@davidbusciglio5529Ай бұрын
@@kevint1911From central Florida, here. Yeah, the American Crocodile's reported habitat's throughout the Everglades and SE Florida. Not nearly in the total numbers as gators, but the numbers are growing. Sone very isolated sightings on the west coast of the state up to just south of Tampa. Some of these older bull crocs grow up to close to 16 ft. Not nearly as aggressive as the Nile crocs in Africa or Saltwater crocs in Australia, the Phillipines.
