So much faster then the pro game. Defense seems to be more intense.

Finally, the official pulls a yellow card with 10 minutes left in regulation. Wrong calls or missed so many more. Hope he improves. Limbs and careers are at sake.

The officials gave this game to FSU. I went back and watched the so-called offsides call. It was clearly not offsides, so the goal should have counted. BYU really won this game 1-0. BYU are National Champions in my book.

6;47 to go, no way that foul is not a yellow card. any match, any day of the year, at any level. Referee had done a good job till then, but chickened out on the big stage at the big moment. By not making the call he changes the entire match.

Cameron Tucker not taking a pk for BYU was a surprise. She definitely let her team down by not stepping up and letting her coach know that as a leader on her team she wants to kick one. All the awards, all the accolades pale in comparison to a national championship. Heck of a player but she let her opportunity slip away.
@phoenixjim05272 жыл бұрын
Good question. Cameron is an amazing dribbler, just amazing. But maybe on that talented BYU team, her PKs aren’t within top ten. I bet she is self-aware on this. All that matters is the best possible PK. Just my guess.

Tucker’s talent is on the speed, I don’t think she has the same skill level as Colohan or Turnbull.

FSU has a team of international ringers. Not really a fair competition when you are playing college players against pros.

Howell played dirty and they won, Cougs need to learn to play dirty too
@phoenixjim05272 жыл бұрын
@Orlando Let’s break this down… 1 Why did FSU win? It was a team win led by performances, Maybe Madril, Zhao and goalie Roque stand out as the best of the best. Not one player. Not just Howell. 2 Does BYU need to learn to play dirty? No. They played a fast, aggressive game, and it worked. But Lady Luck barely favored FSU - that’s soccer. 3 What constitutes dirty play? Dirty implies intent, malice, dangerousness, recklessness. 4 Did Howell play dirty? Overall, no. On her yellow-card foul, yes. She was too zealous, bordering on reckless. I hated seeing Colohan get hurt. On the missed yellow card (near 85’), no - that was a harmless professional foul. She made, however, a terrible decision, then lucked out. That’s soccer. 5 It was a very good game, and the field was bursting with talent. Either team could have won. Both teams deserved to win. It’s not fair to single out one player, either positively or negatively. (neutral fan here)
@ashleyonix46222 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t necessarily say she plays dirty. If you see her highlights of other games, she always enters every 1v1 very dominantly and quickly. She has dominance in the air, but hardly ever fouls players

You must not watching the game, Colohan also received a yellow card by pulling Howell’s arm. So who is dirty, sore loser!
@edgargarcia71452 жыл бұрын
@@felixchan6952 Colohan's yellow card was the softest yellow card I've seen. more of a tactical foul than any rough play. Howell plays dirty and rough, I'm still shocked she didn't get a red card in this game.
