That balcony is a plane spotters wet dream lol. Guess we will be checking in early so I can spend a few hours out there lol.

Very nice video and fun Pod ride. It's easy to use and very convenient to thistle Hotel. We will also have an overnight layover but our flight next day is at 7AM. We like to check out at 4AM. Are the pods running 24 hrs? Thanks.

I live for Disney/Orlando travel day videos, they simply make me happy - and yours is the first I’ve found from the UK for 2021! So excited for international travel returning to US! Welcome back! We are so happy to have you. I went to Orlando this summer with my teens and we kept saying something was missing - realized it was the languages and accents different from our own. Disney is not the same without world travelers. A piece of magic was missing! Welcome Back!!!

Just stumbled across your vlogs. Really enjoying them! I think it so cool you get to travel with your parents. Myself and my mum always have a holiday with each other and its so special. I feel very fortune to be able to do it.

Thankyou very much. Really appreciate it. Yeah its nice to be able to go on holiday with my parents. Im a single guy so dont have anyone else to go with really. My parents love the parks too so might aswell all go together. Have you and your mum been to the florida parks? Where do you like to go?
@laurawizadora92652 жыл бұрын
@@RyansTravels I’ve never done any of the parks (or Florida) but I’ve always wanted to. Looks amazing. Currently waiting to go to Vegas, that’s been cancelled 4 times so far, so hoping it happens in February 🤞🏼 Me and my mum always do a beach holiday together. And the odd city breaks. We’ve got Punta Cana booked for next year so far. But you’re right, if your parents are up for it you may as well go! Can always rely on your parents!

This is one of hotels that we're ( me & mom ) interested in to stay as we love watching airplanes !! ✈ Lol. I think you & others were too harsh on them ? Lol. Though the view from the backdoor? looked outdated ! I loved your room had A/C & a mini fridge & a lot of wardrobe spaces including a closet w/ wooden hangers ( it's better for expensive clothes, like tailored shirts,suits, etc.Not that I have those & bring 'em w/ me travelling ! ) I loved the chest ,too ! Perfect for anyone's staying for 4, 5 days ,or with a family ! I believe they've got a fabulous breakfast buffet there I've read about & seen the pics !! 😀 And I think this hotel is affordable & located at a great location & riding on that pod looking like a S.F.movie scene & fun !! ? Lol So,this hotel is excellent for people don't wanna go to the city center of London right after their arrival from a long haul & make it cheaper than $100,or £100 per night which is us ,too !! Lol.Also for people who love very good breakfast buffets !!! And people are crazy about planes !! Lol. That dining area with a deck with a 180 °of the LHR Airport run way view is a great party venue for someone's birthday bash ,or anniversary !!! I'd love to have mine there, if I could!! Thank you so much for this video !! 👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈💞

We r arriving into T5 and staying in the Thistle for 1 night then back to T3 for our flight to Jamaica, this is such a great vid, just wondering how far is it from the arrivals hall in T5 to the pod station as we have a couple of luggage each and is there a charge for using the pod?
@RyansTravels2 жыл бұрын
when you get to T5 Arrivals, just follow the signs for T5 Pod parking. you have to take a lift the floor thats its located on. its not too far. but get a trolley it might be handy. there is a small charge for using the pod, when you get to the hotel, they will let you in through the gate and they will charge you for the code to the gate in and out of the hotel to the pod parking area. little tip- sometimes if someone is coming through you can slip through yourself!

Hi Ryan! This vlog was super helpful so thank you. I do have one question. Did you have to pay for the journey on the Pods from Terminal 5 to the Thistle hotel? I saw someone on another video said you had to purchase a ticket for both the journey there and back as you can’t get through the gate to the hotel. Is that correct? Thanks in advance
@RyansTravels2 жыл бұрын
Yes usually you do have to pay, but you only pay at the end when you get into the hotel. what happens is after the pod ride, you go to the walk in gate of the hotel which is located in the car park, you have to press the button and tell them who you are and your booking and they will give you the code to let you through the gate. They will charge it to your booking i think. The same when leaving the hotel, you ask for the code at hotel reception, they will charge you for the code to get back out the gate and to use the pods. Just tell them one person will be riding to save you money! We got into the hotel through the gate for free as someone just let us through. 🤣

Thanks for this vlog Ryan, perfect timing as we are staying at the Thistle hotel in 2 weeks prior to flying to Florida. We are parking there too and planning on using the pods so great to see how everything is now. The room actually looks better than i thought it would so that's reassured me and got me a little excited. Do you mind me asking what pre departure testing you used? Hope you have a great time and looking forward to the rest of your vlogs.

Thanks for watching. We got PCR Tests done at a local airport to us, company was called GPDQ. £89 Each. We got results late that night. Find a local company to you thats government recognised.

@Latest Obsession we get free pcr tests in england on the nhs! everyone has to pay for pcr tests to travel from private companies at the moment!
@RyansTravels2 жыл бұрын
The rules are changing all the time, im not the expert, but thing is you have to pay for pcr test certificate to give to the airlines as proof. Nhs will not send you an official certificate. They only send you a brief text or email.
@RyansTravels2 жыл бұрын
@Latest Obsession yeah i dont really know either, we just didn't want to take any chances of being turned away at the airport, weve waited so long to go back.
@mattcarter78382 жыл бұрын
I was wondering if you could recommend what we need to do regarding showing a test before you fly? We’re not sure if we can just do a lateral flow test from one of the private companies or whether we need pay more for a PCR. What did you guys do? Thanks
@mattcarter78382 жыл бұрын
Just to be clearer - we are planning on going to Disney world in jan next year but it feels really unclear what tests we have to do before we fly to the USA.
@RyansTravels2 жыл бұрын
Im not totally 100 percent sure, we just played it safe and got the PCR Test, the last thing i wanted to happen was to get all the way to the airport and be refused at the last minute. Lateral flow test are required for coming home. Antigen tests can be used to go to usa i here but not totally sure. We used an app called verifly which checks your tests and docs before you go. Which helped. But government travel requirements change all the time. But look into it more in depth if i was you to be on the safe side.

Those pods look cool! How do you get these ? We are flying from terminal 5. Just found your channel :)
@RyansTravels3 жыл бұрын
T5 has a special pod parking car park, where you drop off your car and take the pod over to the terminal. Or even if you dont have a car, you can walk out the terminal near arrivals and take the pod over to the hotel and car park. You just have to contact the hotel to let you in through the gate. You pay for a code.
