what makes it unique...is that Florida keeps building in and around the stadium. If you have ever been there you realize this is a hard thing to do since its surrounded by campus buildings. Very impressive facilities and an awesome setting. Nice town

No tuition money goes into the operation of the athletic facilities if you notice at the end of the video at the door it states this is a University Athletic Association facility which means its operated by the UAA which isn't funded by the University but by ticket sales, donors and boosters.

Because the crystal football isn't the 'BCS Trophy'. There never was a BCS Trophy. The crystal football is the UPI Coaches Poll National Championship trophy, which has been awarded since the 1980s. There's an AP Poll National Championship trophy also, but it's very underwhelming to look at. The crystal football still gets awarded to the national champion even now, to this day, despite this now being the playoff era. It's just diminished in significance ever since the NCAA decided to make a clean break from the past and begin crowning undisputed champions for the playoff era. Since everything was getting a fresh start with the CFP Playoffs, the CFP Trophy (which is ugly as hell, honestly) was conceived to serve as the equivalent of the Super Bowl or World Series trophies that everyone immediately recognizes.
