No problem. We have run the north half and ready to do the southern end. They are doing a big clean up on the 8th so hopefully some of the paint scratches will be reduced. I like the logs, they are fun to drive over.

Thanks for going out and looking for the trail! Looking forward to the next installment! We'll be coming down from Tallahassee soon with some jeeps to ride the trails and get our badges :D

Thanks for another great video. A friend and I ran one of the Triathlon events in the 90s and remember that obstacle course. It was cool. Those clay pits were fun. We used to come up from Tampa and camp and Jeep all over Ocala National Forest. Its too bad the idiots ruin everything for everyone. I fear Citrus is going that way if people don't stay out of the restricted areas.
@FloridaJeepRides4 жыл бұрын
Agreed, The Triathlon we did had no gps, just written directions. Travel north at 15mph for 10 min and turn east.... We also had obstacles that the driver was blindfolded. Fun times.

Thanks for the GAIA route, these are always very helpful. Its a shame that this trail is not easily found but still looks like a great tie.

I also posted North End and South end maps as well. We were going to go out today buy the storm and lightning prediction changed our minds. So I changed the Drag link and Tie rods on the 2010. We are going to try again on the 18th.

I rode the Centennial Trail a few years ago on ATV’s and hated it. There are lots of blind corners and too many near head on crashes with people hauling ass.
@FloridaJeepRides Жыл бұрын
I hear ya, I’ve seen some people moving way too fast around corners that are wide enough and designated for license highway vehicles like jeeps. We used to have a practice of beeping your horn when you went around a blind corner.

The jeep badge of honor app does take you to the spot you need to check-in at however to get the badge. Members of both the Ocala Jeep Crew and The Eatin Jeepers (Both Facebook Groups) are going to explore this Friday.

A ride around Tosohatchee is good right now. Just go slow and try to avoid splashing the dirt out of the puddles. We also go out to Three lakes often.

Hey I’m going trail riding out in the Ocala national forest in a jeep gladiator rubicon and I was wondering where I should go
@FloridaJeepRides3 жыл бұрын
Any named and Numbered road. The Tread lightly trail gets tight and you will get scratches. Make sure to stay out of any clay pit areas, the ticket is costly. The bombing range is in the center and there are bathrooms just to the east of there. Blue sink if the road is open makes a nice spot to fish and have lunch.

Awesome videos It’s sad, they pretty much , want to close off, all traffic in the Forest. By chance, was that the Superlift triathlon, you were referring to?
@FloridaJeepRides4 жыл бұрын
Could have been, I know Southern off road and Rancho was involved. Also a Off road club from Ocala. We ran in a CJ5 called tickeled pink with 42s

FloridaJeepRides I’m with the Volusia Jeep Club. Two of us and one person from the Tampa Jeep Krew are currently working with the National Forest to map this trail out and report on its condition this Friday. They are asking us to do this to reopen the trail! RangerRon66@yahoo.com

Lol I went through the bounty hole in my stock jku 10+ times that deep... just stay hugged right if going that way or left if coming from other side...

Too often there is someone who hydro locked parked on the side. Slow and easy vs plowing through.

What tells you Florida is dropping trees and not the off road dirt bike hating tree huggers?
@FloridaJeepRides Жыл бұрын
I have seen trees that look like they were purposely dropped - but most are just after a storm. I could only imagine what a tree would do wile ridding a bike.

So I've clicked on the link for the gaia map and it opens up the app but doesn't show any of your markings. Am I missing something? There's absolutely no info about this trail other than going with someone knowledgeable...

www.gaiagps.com/public/71ZtM5RSJPvgSmqvCY7Ar7uI/?layer=GaiaTopoRasterFeet Here is another link. I looked at some of the links I had and there is no map showing?? Gaia has a free version so perhaps you could make an account and see if that helps. There is also a second video of us riding the North part.

We are going out again on the 18th. The northern portion has a lot of trees across the trail. There are plenty of good trails in Florida, not much in the way of hills other than North Florida.
