Caps fan here. I’ll never forget the moment Ovechkin raised the cup in 2018. All of the disappointments of the past disappeared the moment the cup was raised. The emotions and joy felt were amazing and unforgettable and that was one of the best moments I’ve ever experienced. I was rooting for Florida last year and again this year. I was watching that Final and it was like: really? Ovi hasn't ever won it? That can't be right. Nooo, really, checked notes.....yeah, he finally got one. Long time coming too. Same thing with Barkov. He really stood out and deserved having that joy of winning the most elusive of trophies in all of sport.

Same!! As a Caps fan 2018 is absolutely unforgettable and I was also rooting for the Panthers the last 2 years in the Cup final! Really wanted them to get their first Cup, so many guys who've been playing a long time and hadn't won yet, and for Maurice too after 30 years of coaching! Was sad for them last year when they lost to Vegas so it was so awesome to see them make it back to the final and win it this time!! 🎉

@@starbucksmocha88 I don’t get to see many Panthers games, but it sucked how their season ended last year. It was nice to see these players and the coach get to raise the cup. If the Caps are out, I’d rather see a team that has never won before get the opportunity to lift Lord Stanley. It took years and years of heartbreak to see the Capitals win their first cup, and it’s always nice to see teams and fans of other teams get to experience that special moment.

I was a mail carrier in Sunrise, and I delivered the mail to the Panthers on day 1 they opened that arena. I will never forget that day. The guy I met gave me a tour of the stadium, including the box seats where I saw the Carolina Hurricanes doing mid day warm-ups. That was 30 mins that i was supposed to be working, lol. Can't remember if they if the Panthers won or lost that night though. Ironically, now, I live in NC. I've always been a fan of the Panthers, and I shed tears of joy as I watched them celebrate the Stanley Cup win Monday night. They deserved it after all this time. I've been a fan of this team for 30 years. I have waited for this moment for so long. To the fans of the other teams - there is no feeling quite like this. I've been to the World Series and the NBA Finals. I have seen my teams win it all in other sports. I cried for 10 minutes after the Panthers won the Cup.
