Everyone in the comments making fun of them and saying "they're a white vegan whatever stereotype" shit are living a sad life if that's the first thing they feel the need to point out instead of how beautiful their music is, or how grounded and safe it makes you feel. Florist, you truly are the best. Thank you for making such pretty and nostalgic yet present melodies, they truly speak to me

So, the first time I ever had Tom Ka Gai soup was in a cheap restaurant on a sad street in a freezing rain in Memphis. The menu was hand typed and photocopied, and the translations were beautifully inept. The description of the soup was a little short on ingredients, but promised that "the fragrant broth will make the guest weep silently." This video makes me think of that soup.

was listening to this in the shower crying my heart out because me and my mother have such a love and hate relation ship. mom can you hear me. mom. can you hear me? mom can you just listen? mom can you listen to the pain I have inside? can you just listen to the pain you have caused. we are very alike. you and I we are independent and such strong women. you taught me to stand my ground but, at the same time you scared me. you've shown me all the reasons why I want to escape. you shown me through the relationships you could not keep that you did not need them. but in our case I am the one relationship you have to keep. I am the one who was first born. the one who has to provide for our dear family. but why. why does it have to be that way? why couldn't you just stay with the men you had loved? then you wouldn't of had my brother and sister. if you were in my position you wouldn't be thinking of kids either. you probably would of never had me. you and I are alike you know that. why can't you show me the love you have for me like you did for the homeless? when I persistently asked you each morning. "hey mom can we spend time together?" to your silent responds. you on your phone while Im in the kitchen sipping tea quietly. you telling me you have to go out with friends while I watch my sister. me crying alone... because you were so glad at not being sad or upset. you gave me depression. something you have a hard time understanding. something I have to live with. something I never accepted because I do love myself. something I never want for my children but, who knows how I will be as a mother. like you? no. I hope not. I learned from you that I do not want to live in a little town working the same terrible job. the job that left you with dealing with a murder and being held at gun point. that is what I am working for. I am working for your safety even when I am far. I am looking at the future and holding it dearly because I dont want you to suffer any more. like I am suffering. you and I are alike .

I don't like the moral superiority that some gain by being vegan, but it's true that the meat industry is both, tangibly and morally destructive. In my opinion, even though we can wash our hands by saying it's a matter of goverment and industry policies or by being vegan ourselves, it's just selfish to not think about it. So, if you just associate dressing different, or looking a certain way to have a reasonable thinking, I hope you could just change your mind, because that doesn't help anybody.
