To each their own, eh? Full coverage looks like way too much rethreading needles for me. But although I don’t stitch them, it’s still fun to see what other creative people do. So cheers to all you full coverage stitchers!

Love to see a male cross stitcher 😊
@Ceaftnookemporium4 жыл бұрын
Don’t restart your Janlynn kit! Just sew some extra fabric around the edge of your piece!!! That will be enough for framing and will stop your piece from fraying. From what it looks like, you do have a bit of an edge to sew another fabric around the edge.

Every one talks about starting a stitching diary. I have ben stitching for more than 25 years. About 10 years ago I started a loose leaf notebook with tab dividers by year. Each project got a new page with name of the chart, what fabric was used, any special thread that was used & if it was a gift - who it was for. I put at the top of the page the date that I started the project. If it became a WIP that was finished many years later, I go back & find the page that I started the project & then put the date that I completed. The first page for each year contained a list of projects that I wanted to do that year. The note book was easier to work than a bound note book.

That sounds like a really good idea think I might have to see about starting one of those

Hi from Texas!! 🙂. Great video 🙂. All I’ve done so far are HAED’s. I’ve got about a dozen Plumstreet and Blackbird charts to do when I get the nerve up 😁 anyway I noticed you have full coverage pieces that you are doing and I wanted to tell you to go to HAED’s website and under chart’s by artists look under Lauri (Laura?) Pringle’s page she does quite a few horse charts (since it looks like you enjoy charts of animals). She’s great at them There are a few of other artists that deal mostly with animals. Again enjoyed your video and keep them coming!
@dizzystitcher4 жыл бұрын
Thank you Teresa glad you liked the videos. There does seam to be an animal theme to my stitching doesn’t there 😂 I have about another 8 haed’s that are just waiting to be kitted up and I bet you can’t guess what they are. I’ll go check out lauri and see what she has. Stay safe and happy stitching

I had to chuckle when you showed that one when you started close to the edge of the fabric. I am working on a full coverage piece that I started 20 plus years ago and gave up because of the mistakes. Rediscovered it and it is close to the edge as well. I would consider myself a beginner as I know practically nothing about counted cross-stitch. I am learning a lot from flosstube. I am thinking about making a video for Maynia. I love your pieces. esp the Native American one. I purchased a book 20 plus years ago of 10 Native American chiefs. Had plans to stitch them all!!!! lol On the very first one his poor face was so distorted I gave up. I am hoping I can find the book (we moved recently and it is packed somewhere). I would like to try again. Anyway, welcome to flosstube. Your video was perfect!!! I am subscribing as I would love to see your progress!
@dizzystitcher4 жыл бұрын
Thank you Dawn glad you liked the video and thank you for subscribing. We all are beginners when it comes to cross stitch I’m still learning things now in the craft. Just stick with it and you will get there if I can do it anyone can lol. I hope you find your book it will most likely turn up when your not looking for it in generally does. Stay safe and happy stitching

You have some amazing projects there! You might not need to restart the one that was up to the edge - if you talk to the place where you get your work framed, find out if you can sew an extra strip of Aida fabric to the piece (for framing purposes). I messed up on a project and miscounted terribly but was told I could see extra fabric on - I ended up putting it away for now out of disgust, but I might try that and see if it’s salvageable. Really love that Max color HAED you’re doing with the tigers!
@dizzystitcher3 жыл бұрын
I looked into adding extra fabric to the wolves one but it was fraid right up to the stitches so wasn’t possible hence the restart of it. I love that piece I have the leopard one of that too which I will start at some point

Thank you Kevin I will definitely try lol. Nothing worse than sitting around doing nothing I was going crazy and I had to isolate myself too to reduce risk of infection so had no one to talk to really either so I had to do something. Don’t think I went all in like you though lol

@@dizzystitcher awww man, that sounds terrible! Yeah - I went a bit overboard for sure. LOL! I’m to going to begin sorting through my things and selling/gifting the things I most likely will never stitch. Been saying that for a while, but truly need to do it!

I wish you the best of look deciding which ones to keep and which ones to get rid off I know for a fact if I did that it would end up me keeping everything but 1 thing lol
