I love the name of your channel! I was sitting in a cafe, stitching away, and a woman stopped as she was walking out just to tell me it made her sick to see my lick the thread. I was stunned. I figured everyone did! Your project are gorgeous. I have one full coverage, Good Omens, and I haven’t touched it in over a year. I’m inspired to take it out now. I can’t remember the term you used for traveling across the back but I do that, too. And I love the little ones in the background. Fond memories of my grandchildren when they were little and playing while I sewed clothing.

licking floss should be normalized! I think you're asking about "cross country" and then there is also extreme cross country which is a whole other beast

I, too, am planning to go to the Queen City retreat. It will be my first and I've been busy working on some Mirabilia/Nora Corbett designs. I also started a flosstube because I didn’t have anyone to share the hobby with around me. Also don’t worry about the kids, my baby is with me about half the time when I film because she’s a baby but I keep the toddler out because I would spend the video trying to snatch back my fabric and keeping her off camera 😅 Love the variety of projects! I have the teensiest start on Dark Queen, and will be starting 100 Owls in about a month once I get to the LNS. Looking forward to the Cathedral Goddess progress as that’s on my list for eventually

Enjoyed your video and seeing your projects. I did some work with quilt preservation years ago, and saliva can cause discoloration and deterioration of your fabric and thread. Needle threaders to the rescue. 🙂

I can understand that. most of my projects I do plan on washing when completed but the one I'm not going to wash I am using a needle threader for it

your first video just came up on my feed and immediately subbed! i’m new to the Flosstube community, too, even though i had picked up cross stitching years ago! my husband’s aunt is also the only person IRL that i know that stitches! i have a few longtime online friends that i have yet to meet that also stitch, too… the Thomas Kinkade HAED i want to start is Nanette’s Cottage but the one you’re working is just as gorgeous! love all your LOTR pieces, as well… the Riolis Hobbit one is on my list. welcome! looking forward to seeing more videos!

Yay! Glad to see you on Flosstube! I like that you started your Aimee Stewart piece in the top middle because I want to see a different part than the key and the door. Sad the skin conversion didn't work out on Cathedral Woods Goddess. Maybe it was clashing against the fabric? I had to adjust the hair color on Stargazer since I used a blue fabric. The charted browns looked ORANGE against the blue background.

it could have been the fabric choice as well... I just thought I didn't label the darker shade and medium shade properly and I came to the conclusion I'm not ready to do conversions yet lol and I'll just stick to what's charted lol thank you for the conversion, sorry I messed it up 🙃

I am recently retired, so I have decided to stitch on this piece exclusively. I hope to finish it within a year, maybe sooner if I don’t lose motivation. All of my other HAED wips and Gecko Rouge kits will have to wait.

I have Chinese Garden, Swan Lake, Butterfly Lace and Evening in the Park. I outsource my specialty floss but i only get the silks that can not be subbed by dmc. On the pattern where the section it says DmC i get the silks that have NA. As for beads i wait until they have the sales going on. My next ones are Taj Mahal and Egyptian Garden lol

My mom grand mother and Aunts always used lick method for tread with all dye threads and fabric may not be a good thing any longer from china Japan India Russia Indo-what ever they are now we need beware of what other countries put in our consumables
